While personally I don't have any issues with the artwork of the Swarm Host as it stands, this is actually an interesting train of thought to pursue, albeit with the level of trolling occurring here. (Seriously, if you feel like trolling take it to the Blizzard forums, no one really cares there.) There are a lot of crazy phobias people have and if, based on these polls 15% of people are kinda freaked out by it, maybe there might be justification for an artwork redesign. Overall, I commend you OP for bringing this topic up and as a man with an irrational fear himself thanks.

Financially speaking, Blizzard implementing a design change like this is gonna cost them how much? a couple of hundred dollars? a couple of thousand dollars? or perhaps nothing?
Change the design of the Swarm host.
I do take Phobia's seriously. The point of people naming other Phobias is that you cannot design a game to account for all phobia's, so why single one Phobia out. If you have a Phobia that's causing so many problems get professional help, but don't expect the world around you to change, because holes exist everywhere, also in games.
What a stupid thread. Yes, let us use a phobia from the URBAN DICTIONARY to try to change a perfectly good unit. I realize you can't please everyone, but this is a new level of lame. If you don't like the art just say it. Why must people hide behind smoke? Even if it is a real phobia the unit shouldn't be changed. Phobias are generally few and far between, and there is a phobia for almost everything.
^ Does this mean we need to rework overlords? Get real! (thanks MLG)
Anyone who has this "phobia" from the urban dictionary would already have trouble with SC2, so nothing is gained or lost.

When a phobia clearly disturbs 10% of a userbase, that is NOT a minor thing anymore. That is absolutely giant.

Are people serious? When i saw the swarm host in action I was so happy. Its actually gross, which zerg SHOULD be. I for one absolutely love the new artwork. And if you really have a problem with it I'm sure someone will make a texture mod for you. Clearly the majority of people have no problem with it.

Well, if people weren't trollign and answered correctly....then 10% of the user base really needs to seek professional help to get over this. Thats not trying to be insulting either.

15% of people say they are disgusted by it and 30% want it to change. What's "wrong" about it?

That's an extremely narrowminded and ignorant thing to say. Maybe it's not a major issue in their lives? Maybe it's not worth going through a long, and most likely, very expensive treatment to get over it. But they still don't want this shit in their favorite game.
"Man up and get over it" never was and never will be a real argument.

I'm sure you have irrational fears, why don't you get over them? What an incredibly ignorant and narrow-minded statement.

This, and not to mention I guarantee if you make a poll on this site saying does anyone want (insert new unit here) artworks redesigned because (some bullshit reason) you would get at least 10% to agree with you. I guarantee it.

phobias is having fear and not being disgusted
You don't need to have a phobia to feel disturbed and uneasy about something. When it's affecting a great number of people, it's a very easy thing to fix.

But the vast majority like it. Why change it for the minority?
