In it's current iteration the tempest does 20 or 22 damage (don't remember which) in an aoe with a long attack time. If terrans can split marines to counter banelings, zergs can split corruptors to counter this.
Don't compare marines to corruptors lol. Marines do not stack when attacking, while air units do. Spreading mass muta is impossible and this hard counter tempest thing is really bad imo; they better buff archon or something and add something like Arbiter which is interesting unit with many uses and not a "counter to mutas" lol..

Well it'll be balanced by the time it comes out anyways. You can most likely magic box, but then target them down with the mutas. Also, I don't think I've ever really seen a PvZ where the zerg has over 25 or so mutas anyways.

It's not uncommon. I played myself many times where I get 40+ mutas, but well made protoss death ball should be able to deal with them in head to head battle no problem.

As a side note, some people are way, way too afraid of change. Developers should never be afraid to change core gameplay because of players (often exaggerated) fears. The "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality resulted in Modern Warfare #. Blizzard's willingness to go out on a limb and actually be creative is something that should be encouraged, not feared.

I don't care if it costs a fortune, could you imagine if you had 4 robo's late game with a huge bank, you could remax with an army of Voidrays or Immortals nearly TWICE as fast

If the polls were separated by the voters race we would have better idea. Now it is not clear if the players don't like units they will get or the units they will have to deal with from the opponent.

I'm still curious as to why Blizzard has given Terran a Zerg unit. The Reaper is quick and mobile, has a high DPS but dies quickly in return, and now can heal itself without the support of a medivac outside of battle now. Seems awfully Zergish to me.
I really like the Reaper as a unit, it's ability in Wing of Liberty to snipe buildings is pretty awesome. Now they've gone and removed that ability and added a regen ability? I don't see how that makes them anymore viable. Without a speed boost they still get targeted by Marines and Stalkers before they can get in and do terrible terrible damage. Maybe it's because I'm a newb at this game but I don't see how the Reaper's viability has changed or improved at all. Especially now that they won't be Tech / Production destroyers.

The reason that terran got medivacs is because medics could not keep up with the reaper, i don't know why they want to give reapers a passive health regen when they are useless past early game harass.
