Your cores are certainly not slowing down with lower temperature. Lower temperature will always make your cpu's job easier since all conductors have less resistance. Ideally you'd want -270° with all parts superconducting, then your comp would run overclocked to the max powered just from the battery of your wristwatch.

I mean, it might just be that where I live (chicago) its that time of the year that everything starts getting cold, but it always seems that even when my body is completely warm, my hands are freezing; this is also very unlike me, as I could provide personal testimony from my girlfriend that I am a human space-heater. Anybody know anything to fix this, or help? I just played a game with an average of 70 APM by SC2's new apm measurement and while that's not NaDa-like speed, my hands were moving pretty consistently, and now that the game is done they're still freezing. I play with a lil bit more apm then you, and my hands still get cold. I just lair up or turn the heater on and after a game or two i feel fine. Last case scenario would be to put them under hot water, but I say this is the last case because usually you have to do it a lot like after every game

Playing video games is just about the only time I don't have to wear a sweater in Edmonton. ![]()

Enthusiastic overclockers even dip their CPU and cool it with liquid nitrogen to have maximum overclocking capacity, because like what Rohan wrote, lower temp = lower electrical resistance between conductors.

Take that! whenever you are in my position, i suffer a lot, but i have learnt some ways to keep my hands warm... for example, wear a lot of clothes, if your core body is warm, the rest of your body will warm up, if you are too cold to do it that way, take a hot shower ![]() clap your hands hard, it makes blood flow to the asshole who said "drink alcohol", alcohol causes vasoconstriction, after the short period of vasodilation
