I think it's a relic from the BW days to have everything spoilered. I also think it's stupid they have such a restriction on spoilers. It kills the dynamic environment when everything is so strictly controlled. Yes, I want to see live news on the front page. And I'm unequivocal about it. If another site gives me that without the bitter "old school bw first" attitude that permeates TL, I'll leave and go to that site. Until then, this is the best I have. I'm not a BW guy, nor will i ever be. I've played the game, it's good, but I only follow SC2. And SC2 scene is not the SC1 scene. There is a live event at nearly all times. Live streams, live content, live broadcasts. VODs are no longer the primary delivery method of competitive starcraft... live streaming is. VODs are just replays that I go back and watch. It's annoying to have to find results in such a convoluted manner as I have to. I know where to find them. But it'd be nice if they were just reported like any other sporting event in the history of man has been presented. TL will get passed up if they refuse to acknowledge that the culture behind competitive starcraft is no longer as tightnit and small/sheltered as it used to be.

However, most tournaments are Western now... I think it's a relic from the BW days to have everything spoilered. Time zones still play a pretty large part. GSL is arguably the best league out there in terms of players and it's still at Korean times. IPL played well into 4am for Europeans, and if you were following the LR thread a ton of them were pissed that they had to leave before the finals. MLG's go anywhere from 5pm to 6am for Euro's as well. It's hardly a relic of the past when it affected events this past weekend and will do so this upcoming one as well. By who? Reddit? They downvote for spoilers. Wellplayed? That turned out so well. TL isn't really going anywhere, but feel free to follow whatever website you want.

Furthermore, "Western" isn't one single timezone, you know in CET, MLG ends at 5-8 am depending on if it's on the west or east coast.

The issue here is that the "big" sports don't really release VODs, whereas they might be the main source for SC2 viewing still. When SC2 is bigger than football/American Football, they might no longer release VODs for the main events.

I check the spoilers for the results every morning, which I wish were on the front page. Maybe 5% of you do it that way, but most of us don't. My point is that there is so much content these days, you don't NEED the spoilers anymore. You CAN avoid TL if you don't want to see spoilers, similar to how someone who DVR's a sports game doesn't watch ESPN before he watches his game. Nobody pauses results in Champions League for those of us in the US. Do you see Americans whining when ESPN ruins our DVR recording by reporting who won? No. Anyone who is that uptight about watching it "live" will not watch ESPN, because he knows that ESPN is a sports news reporting website/tv station. Funny how that title is in the banner at TL, yet they don't actually report any news beyond team transfers...

I and many others use TL for pretty much everything BW/SC2 related, except for actually playing the game. I might want to browse TL for fifteen minutes then watch a VOD. That'd be impossible with a live feed. Also, there are so many tournaments going on it'd be annoying with new updates on the front page every other hour. If you want to find results, it can EASILY be done by going to Liquipedia or the event tracker. If there was a private section for tournament result discussions I think both sides would be happy. It certainly wouldn't hurt anyone. What I love the most about esports, and what makes esports different from traditional sports is the fact that you can be the utmost dedicated fan but still roll on your own schedule, thanks to easily accessible VOD's. It is A MUST when tournaments are held all over the world, in different time zones.

Now think this, you are Liquid'Jinro, you just won MLG Orlando, you get drinks with the fellow Liquidites and go home, open up teamliquid.net, BAM your big smiling face right in the dab of the front page because you just did something awesome. You'd feel awesome right? so dear spoiler nazis, think for the Liquidites, sacrifice a little to make them happy

Everyone who watched or informed themselves, know you won. What's the issue? That a website didn't publicly state you won yet? Yeah, I'm sure competitive gaming is melting as we speak. Bless its soul.

To deny the team members that kind of euphoria because of spoiler policies is just disappointing. Now let's go back to this Last time i checked TL was a news site, and old news isn't news anymore.

Your choice of words could use another shake on the boggle cube. Congratulations. Old news and news both have the same word: "news". News is relative, It's news to me that Destiny joined with QXG despite it not being as recent as when it was first announced or learned. Nice try though, let's go another round. The fact that Jinro won is still news and still true regardless of when it is published. Again, save competitive gaming! It's melting! How does this defeat or deter competitive gaming again? Let's also remember that if you watch the games, check the forums everywhere but the site news, you'll learn Jinro won, there is still euphoria, you just like to blur details
