Stephano qualified for IPL-- beating several good players including MMA
Just dominated the FXO invitational and won the Scan invitational, beating Socke Kas and Tod a combined 7-1.
Good perfomances in cups every week, and you're labeling him as nothing but a good ladder run-- which not to mention 62-1 is pretty freakin good on the 2nd hardest server in the world.

Ret is just plain never gonna get credit for anything, I don't know why
|
True, ret has the best fucking macro.. If he wants to he can become the best easily..
|
Best one is HuK or Thorzain (voted for him) but Stephano is scary even though he wasn't in Korea (yet) and his potential is just huuuuuge. IdrA should be tilted off that list (sadly love you Greg) and Demuslim should be added because he is on such a high level even though he was injured for eternity...

It was so funny to see Spanish people hype Lucifron and than he choked in front of DRG and he looked like a diamond player.
So shhhhhhh!
On topic, Thorzain all the way. Huk second.
Idra is not what he can be.
Thorzaid said stephano is the best foreign zerg !
T : Thorzain P : Mana Huk Z : Stephano Morrow

best =! most successful

There are large parts of the community that agree that a mentally weak, bad mannered player like Idra should not be respected, and much less beloved.

@icarly: Yep, I just don't get it. Just ignore him. The most important opinion anyway is that of the pros, and MMA himself has said that Stephano is recognized in Korea as one of the top five foreigners, but that was a month or two ago which means that he'd have a higher regard for him now. Maybe Blasphemi knows something that the pros don't.
|
I guess it has to be Huk. The only way you can compare the players is to judge results and Huk is the most decorated. However I still find it silly to distinguish him as a "foreigner" since he entered Korea as a pretty cheesy all-in player and evolved his game into a very Korean standard Protoss game. He is foreigner by nationality alone -- not training.

How did Sase get on this list instead of white-ra? Stephano only got so many votes because with some recent wins and the "stephanos ladderun thread" everyone jumped on the bandwagon, not because he is deserving of that title with zero lan wins. Idra has placed better in GSL than any other foreigner except perhaps HuK, Jinro got semifinals in two GSLs and won MLG Dallas but isn't even on this list...I can keep listing problems with this thread....Sase and Stephano aren't nearly as deserving of title of best foreigner as Jinro, HuK, Idra, White-ra, or Ret, not by a long shot. Once hes done with his 5 minutes of fame everyone will forget about him for the next 6 months.

Dude stop you bias. YOu have no idea what your talking about. Kas mechanics are so much better than sjows.

Who is in your opinion the best foreigner (non chinese, if that would make a difference) at the moment?
FD is still the best z in your eyes ?

Idra is not what he can be. But well, as you said lucifron choked, you can't say that is his average play.

Personally I'm going to suspend my judgment of Stephano until I can see him play in the IPL. Online qualifiers are still online qualifiers and we've learned that you can't take them that seriously.
I think Huk is the best foreigner because he has by far the best results in the GSL. Huk has been in code S for a while now, and made it to the ro8 recently, meanwhile Thorzain and Naniwa can't get out of Code A ro32.

Kas may have better mechanics but Sjow has better decision making

Watch HuK vs Thorzain replays and you will quickly realize why HuK is the best foreigner at the moment.
Thorzain gives good games and I would say is easily the second best and has the highest untapped potential, but HuK isn't the type to slow down either.

why the *** would you put idra on tha list? And look how many fanboiz actually voted on him....
Dont get me wrong, the guy is good, but definetly shouldnt even be a choice for top foreigner right now.

Dont get me wrong, the guy is good, but definetly shouldnt even be a choice for top foreigner right now. Idra is polarizing. He would also be very high in a "who's the worst player in the world" poll. Hell, he would be high on any poll you could imagine.

definitely ThorZaIN and HuK, Who have both shown they can play great games against the best of the koreans.
the other player that i really think would be on this list if he played against koreans more often would be DIMAGA. he unfortunately does not make it into a lot of the tournaments that i watch so I can't say he is best, but when I do see him play I really like to see what kind of stuff he does.

Huk as he has the best results
|
Stephano has had good results on LAN. He played only a few international events though. Only 2 Ian events I guess : Homestory cup, ended #5, beating Huk, Insolence, Jinro, Xlord & White-Ra; losing to thorzain & mc Assembly Summer, ended #3, beating Satinii, biGs, Bratok, Sen, Seiplo and losing to Dimaga
So you can't really say he is only "online" ...
Anyway, my money is still on Thorzain, with Stephano and Naniwa/Huk not far behind.
