What the hell... Why would you make the europeans and koreans play at these ungodly hours when these are regionals (meaning why would you make me stay so late at night).

A lot of the global matches will be cast from replay. We don't want to torture the players

"Because of the timezone differences associated with a regional tournament of this sort, some matches will be cast from replays (we will let you know when this is the case), but we will attempt to cast matches live whenever we can."

Right on the MLG page. Would have been a fairly obvious assumption either way. Common sense needs to be applied before posting.

Also, Huk posted on Twitter saying he declined because he didn't want to play with cross-region lag for so little money.

hmm...any way you could tell us which players declined? or is that some kind of privacy violation?

It is borderline disrespectful to players to officially announce this type of thing. We respect their decision not to participate and hope to have more competitors join in the future.

I feel like a lot of people aren't reading the thread. They invited other people but some declined. It is possible that they invited select but he declined. People are flipping out about the invites when they have no idea who declined.

One last time guys We invited a lot of European, NA, and Korean players that a) turned down the invite b) simply did not respond.

Admittedly it was on short notice, but again, we're very, very happy with the great line up we have. You guys might not like x, y, or z being invited, but you have to admit that this is a pretty damn good collection of players.

Also, I agree with people saying that consumers should complain when they see something they're not satisfied with. This tournament was meant as an add on for the HD service that Gold/Silver members already paid for, for more video content for our general fan base, and as a test of life for some ideas in 2012. We're doing our best, and even if all of the feedback over these 24 pages is not completely positive, it is still feedback and we appreciate it. Keep it coming, we need to hear the complaints with the praise if we ever want to make you guys relatively happy. (although we could drop $100 bills from the ceiling in Orlando and people would still not be happy about something )

From the ceiling? How is that fair for the shorter people!? God, MLG, can't you do anything right!!!!!!!

Sad that I need to add this on... but I'm joking, guys!

They pretty much have to invite incontrol due to stuff he does for the community and not based his play ability. Even Cruncher is a better player than him, but he's not invited.

I'm sure many of the lesser known players from clans like VP, gosu or xsix would not have declined the offer and are proven to consistently beat many of the invited players.
