Mehh I would have preferred Morrow and Merz over Ret and White-Ra, then the eurobracket would have been truly epic!!

Looking forward to this tournament! Hopefully we get some epic matches and the lag is not too bad. I would like White Ra to beast it up again and stomp his way into a top 4 finish! Either way this will be a nice way to have people from other regions have a chance to go to MLG National Finals with a paid trip.

+ Show Spoiler +
People need to stop bitching that their favourite player either was not invited or declined the invite. If you want the players missing from this tournament in one big one, then get out of the chair and start a tournament and see how easy it is to get an international tournament going.

he beat Socke, Revival, Puzzle, Kiwi, MMA (and anypro , MKP last week). And still no invitations anywhere.

One last time guys We invited a lot of European, NA, and Korean players that a) turned down the invite b) simply did not respond.

Admittedly it was on short notice, but again, we're very, very happy with the great line up we have. You guys might not like x, y, or z being invited, but you have to admit that this is a pretty damn good collection of players.

Also, I agree with people saying that consumers should complain when they see something they're not satisfied with. This tournament was meant as an add on for the HD service that Gold/Silver members already paid for, for more video content for our general fan base, and as a test of life for some ideas in 2012. We're doing our best, and even if all of the feedback over these 24 pages is not completely positive, it is still feedback and we appreciate it. Keep it coming, we need to hear the complaints with the praise if we ever want to make you guys relatively happy. (although we could drop $100 bills from the ceiling in Orlando and people would still not be happy about something )

From the ceiling? How is that fair for the shorter people!? God, MLG, can't you do anything right!!!!!!!

+ Show Spoiler +
Sad that I need to add this on... but I'm joking, guys!

Hahah, that is brilliant. And probably not too far off the spot either.

Thanks for putting this out there MLG. Not the theoretically strongest lineup, but it should make for some good games and storylines.

Looking forward to it!

I dunno, I think if Major is on form he may do very well.

Then again IdrA is often a favourite of mine so I think either of those will take it for the US.

Ret and Naniwa iare my fav's for EU.

Puma and MVP are my two KR choices.

We're to the point where popular players will be turning down invites. They only have so much time available and, depending on current location/tournament schedules, they'll have to make attendance choices. All told, they're fairly solid invites. There's 1-2 on each you can quibble with, but if you look at the whole lists, they're players that MLG has dealt with a lot, which would tend to be the players that would except this type of thing more.

Pretty sure LosirA will take it for KR. I believe

I don't even think this was based off invites... I think everyone except Sase has mlg ranked points. Don't spew shit about how jp chose who got invited and he maliciously left him out..... Also IPL3 is an on line tourney, and it is played at a really inconvinient time for the koreans. Take thorzain vs MC for example, Thorzain beat mc online, but when they played at other lans mc did not drop a series.

No, I meant the source where JP purposely ignored/not invite them, and it's not just them not accepting there invites.

That's the question, are Nerchio and Stephano forced to decline a lot of tournament invitations, because they are still in school? Otherwise it would just be laughable. Any american zerg player with the same awesome results like Stephano would be invited to every tournament instantly, but in Stephano's case it takes a lot of time till the americans take notice of him.

6/8 Swedes in EU . All of the invites seem solid anyway, in Europe their are alot of people who you could say ''should have been invited''. But then again all the invites deserve it 100%!

Why wasn't Select in the NA btw?!

Furthermore, I think the Collosi should be removed! (Zorgaz -Terran/AbrA-Random/Zorg-Dota2) Guineapigs <3

Haha 6 swedish players in the Europe Bracket x)

Edit: Are these invites based on their MLG seed? And what if youre a european living in korea/usa (DeMusliM comes to mind), what region do you belong to?

I don't think these are based on MLG seeds, IMO it seems like a huge tournament showmatch with whoever accepts there invites.

My Predictions:
EU: Naniwa and Ret
With Naniwa fresh off Korea-training and Ret still being the ultra sick nerd baller that he is, I definitely think they'll be the top for the group. Thorzain is an extremely dangerous contender though, and of course I wouldn't mind at all if White-Ra took the whole tournament :D

NA: Idra and KiwiKaki
This one was a lot tougher, but I'm gonna go with Idra and Kiwi. The only people I could imagine giving a problem to these two would be Sheth and Tyler (if he brings his A+ game). Slush and iNcontroL are great but I just don't see them being able to compete, and I'm not crazy about Major. Of course as a fan, I would love to see Destiny win the group, but sadly I don't think there's much of a chance :-/

KR: MVP and Losira
MVP is a no-brainer, a TvT god in a group with 4 other Terrans? Not to mention I think his style is strong enough to beat the rest of these players handily. Losira is my second for this group because (in my mind) he would be the best Zerg in Korea if not for NesTea. Also worth noting, poor Hero as the sole protoss in his group
If the quarter was in your right hand, that would've been micro
