It also appears that prior MLG participation was considered as well, and as much as it may dilute the field, MLG has the right to do as they please.

Don't spew shit about how jp chose who got invited and he maliciously left him out..... Also IPL3 is an on line tourney, and it is played at a really inconvinient time for the koreans. Take thorzain vs MC for example, Thorzain beat mc online, but when they played at other lans mc did not drop a series. Thorzain beat MC when they were both at Dreamhack in TSL3.

Huk should have been in instead My guess was they felt it would bring more viewers...I may be completely off though. I agree they should of invited Huk...but as someone else said maybe they did and he just couldn't make time for it.

I mean its hard enough for players not in the pools to get good rank points to try and qualify for it without losing a slot to a well known invited player. This has NOTHING to do with seeding for Providence. The players that make it to the finals of the invitational will play it out live in Providence in parallel to the Pro Circuit National Championship. They will exist as 2 separate competitions. Can the OP or a moderator edit the original post with my clarification on invites? Seems like the same comments are happening over and over due to 30 pages of discussion based on only the first post.

Well, I love Destiny and he's made great bounds and strides in his ability and revolutionary play, but I sadly don't think he's going to be able to make much of a run...

He's won 3 tournaments so far this year with top EU players attending, plus a 2nd place in CPL invitational, only beaten by marine king. Sase is currently ripping up the korean ladder right now. He's won 14 of his last 16 ladder games and is currently ranked #19 GM in korea. http://kr.battle.net/sc2/ko/profile/687153/1/NvMacSed/matches He hasn't attended a single MLG yet though.
