Congrats to him though. He is still a pretty good foreign pro.
Fenix is doing well in the team league.
QXC all killed IM's weaker players (and MVP) and i'd say fenix is on the same level as qxc.
QXC all-killed IM's weaker players and MVP. And YOU would say Fenix is on the same level, but there is no evidence to support this. If we can get Fenix to vs all of the same people, and win. Then I will agree with you. But there is nothing to support the claim that Fenix is on the same level of QXC until he accomplishes something similar.
Now if IM recruited QXC i would somewhat understand. But saying "Hey this foreigner beat a bunch of our players... we should recruit a random foreigner!" doesnt make much sense to me. (not to insinuate that Fenix is just any random foreigner, he is a talented pro foreign player still)
What results a player has is irrelevant in this case. IM is not EG. IM decided to recruit Fenix for a few reasons:
1. Basically really good PR. Ties some bonds between Korea and the rest of the world.
2. They saw potential in Fenix, and considering he's become so much better with just a couple days in korea this is true
The most important point is just that, normally you don't really recruit players based off of results, you try to train someone.

He doesn't really have to bring anything at this moment. The coach saw potential so he signed him, also the other reason is the "foreign expansion" of IM. Hating so much is not cool.

You forgot a huge part of it too - it's a low-risk strategy for IM. My guess is Fenix hardly gets a salary (maybe just a stipend, or maybe just food/housing) so it doesn't cost a lot to sign him, but there are potentials for huge gains.

Congrats to Fenix for joining IM, I'm sure we will see much improvement from him in the near future.
It is true moggy that a verbal agreement can be worthless (although it is still legally binding). Regardless of peoples views on "prize splitting" fenix is still at fault for that as he sure as hell would of collected if TT1 had won it. I dont see how people can still respect Fenix, even going so far as to cheer him on, knowing he broke his word to a friend and essentially chose $1000, or whatever it was, over his friendship his team and his respect.

Not to say that Fenix is bad, but If IM wants to expand outside of Korea and wants to kick it off by recruiting somebody from outside of Korea, Fenix is the best choice, there is no doubt about that.

I disagree. Granted some teams want to 'raise there own players' but most teams want players who can do what they need to do, and that is win.

5/5 For comparing Fenix to a lvl 2 pidgey, will read again.
Hopefully Fenix will show his inner beast and become like another IdrA or HuK.

Well, it's only three levels or so until he learns wing attack, not the worst comparison
