FXO buys out all of fOu...no hate
Liquid signs Hero formerly of oGs...no hate
EG signs Huk formerly of Liquid...thread full of hate.

Something is not quite right with this picture. It's less rational than all the NASL hate, and even that was well beyond ridiculous.

At least he stays in Korea. And i am glad that Idra is headed back over there. Here is hoping for some awesome results from idra/puma/huk in the future.

It's only the beginning.

The more money they dump like this, the more they fail.

Karma is a bitch.

How is one team having more money than another mean they have bad Karma. It seems like sales for Ben and Jerry's and Oprah viewership is going to raise. Kleenex will also make a killing from all the tears, lol.

It's not about having the money, it's about how you use it.

FXO could buy off EG ten times over, but look at how they're building a team.

EG won't fail because of the abstract notion of "karma", they will fail because they're not capable to actually manage a team after buying off the players.

They will fail for the same reason they have been failing so far, the only problem is that they keep dragging players with great potential down with them.

Idra, Grubby (luckily he got away), Demuslim... Puma and sadly HuK are only the last in this line. Actually one can only hope they are the last.

idrA is heading back to Korea with Huk and PuMa. I think they're using their money well, their team is only getting better. You're the one that mentioned Karma btw and I'd also like to see FXO try and buyout all of EG, lol. You just sound like another hater brah.

Their players didn't win anything since MLG DC. Every single one of them has been getting progressively worse since they joined EG.

Also, regarding being a hater, I don't really see a problem with that. When one organization is continuously, for about a year, acting in a way that goes against everything you like, value and/or believe in in the Starcraft community, what else is there to feel towards them?

Obviously I'm not going to like them, and they made it really difficult to even be indifferent towards them. I'm literally looking forward to the day they disappear from the SC2 scene.

I'm glad that EG realized that the only way IdrA will be decent again is if he is in Korea... Still don't think he will be amazing.
Why would you ever choose failure, when success is an option.

One of the three. stop overrating Idra guys, maybe if he gets alot better in Korea that will be true.

Did you not watch any SC2 in 2010?

Do you remember the two foreigners who actually did well in GSL?

Did you miss the part where this isn't 2010 and idra is 0-15 against koreans and like 3-8 vs europeans in his recent games? Oh wait I forgot he beat tandangho in eg Masters Cup. 2-15.

This.

IdrA really has to improve much if he is to have any chance at getting code S to begin with. He probably was the best foreigner 2010 but now he's not even top 5 in my opinion.

Although it's great for HuK, I'm still wondering about some of the decisions EG made recently:

- Why buying a house in Arizona if your best player there (IdrA) is moving away? I don't think the other members will really improve a lot without a much better player coaching and motivating them.

- While it's great for EG to have a house in Korea, it only contains three players and no coach. So, for preparing for an upcoming match, I don't know if it's good to just practise to one person for a specific match-up or not having the possibility of recieving some insights or help from players who play the same race. Of course, contact with members from oGs will still exist, but to a lesser extent of course than when playing in the oGs house and requiring strategies they come up with.

So, while I partly dislike the decision from HuK and partly support him, I hope he can continue his current succes in this new house.

Yea unless they are purchasing a coach, i dont see how it can be anywhere near as appealing as the OGS house, with how many players they have + great support from coaches/ manager.

Huk wasnt thinking about that though, he was thinking about that PAPER PAPER.

ANd i think it wont be many more than the three of them, idra hated living in the really crowded team house environment, so im sure it will be a place (apartment) where they can have their own rooms, wich will be nice, but not conducive to practicing.

I am also really confused. Now they have 2 houses with low amounts of members, one of which has all their "B" members.

IdrA returning to Korea after giving up Code S? Guess he didn't make as much in the foreign scene as he thought he would? I imagine he will be like HuK and MC and travel a lot but still, bad decision making to go back 6 months later. Maybe EG just makes the decisions for him but it's still pretty weird; bad planning for the future.

Overall, EG will need to recruit at least a few other players to join them in Korea if they want to have some success. And a coach.

HuK will make more but if his performance drops because of this change, so will his winnings overall right? (depending on how EG and Liquid approach those). I hope for his sake he knows what he's doing and doesn't end up with less money in the end.

Humm, I'm kinda skeptical about this move, i am not sure HuK's practice will benefit compared to his former training alongside oGs.

I dont understand why people keep saying this sucks.

IDRA was falling off. He knew it, and that is why he is going back.

Huk is still in Korea, and is still going to be playing the same guys, and is still going to be in code S.

And since they have their own pro house over there, who knows who else is going to come to Korea and compete in the GSL.

These other events are alright, but the GSL is the meat and potatoes of Starcraft.

Im more then happy with how things turned out.

And not only that, but QXC will also be back sometime. Foreign prospect involve has never been higher then it is right now.

Its really exciting.

The training in the oGs house is a decent argument, but that is not the primary reason why Huk is as good as he is. The main reason is his drive, work ethic, heart, determination etc etc. TLOs trained there, ret, haypro, jinro but Huk has been the most consistent. its not as simple as him being in the house.

I have to say, I dislike EG's propensity to pick up successful players, rather than cultivate their own team.

I must have missed the 2day build up with twitter clues, a countdown and cryptic messages for those other events.

Think all the cryptic hype also added to the hate. Guys didn't realise they were getting hyped for a player they like leaving a team they liked.

While I don't blame Huk for taking the offer (which certainly had a lot of money) and continued support in Korea, I do have to wonder how this will turn out... Idra and Puma vs. the current OGS house? Is that really worth it? I worry if he can keep his form or not, and frankly, if he slips, I won't really feel sorry for him. And like TotalBiscuit said, why make a training house in the US if your three best players aren't even going to live there?

I don't know. I can't really blame anyone involved, it all makes sense and it's all been done properly, but I wonder if it'll really be best for the players involved in terms of increasing their skills. Only time will tell, I guess.
