I think instead of the foreigners naniwa, thorzain, etc. staying at GoM house, maybe EG lets them stay at EG house. Maybe EG makes some friends with these players in this way. Maybe EG.Naniwa and EG.ThorZain happens when contracts run out haha. Nani soon maybe, but thorzain has awhile to go yet to reach a year. Another thought would just be to take some Code B players from some of the korean teams and move them into the house for training partners. Probably wouldn't be a bad gig for them. EG acquiring a Code S level korean to join the house probably could happen if they pursued it. There's a lot of possibilities for EG to expand on this groundwork they've laid here today. I hope they have all the success they're looking for. Bring a GSL trophy back to america! p.s. I am loving the animosity all the liquid fans have about this. There would be something wrong if a teams fans didn't care that their best player went to their biggest rival. All the people telling them to grow up, look at any sport, look at the lebron thing. How bout brett favre joining the vikings (they burned that dudes jersey in the middle of green bay for that) Fan is short for fanatic, if you are a liquid fan and you aren't upset about this, then there's something wrong.

HuK is leaving his friends, MC..TL So moving out of a house and changing tags erases friendships? Also, if I'm not mistaken, they are pro SC2 players, not pro SC2 friends and Huk had a choice in the matter. EG didn't force him to do anything. Also, since 'leaving his friends,' is apparently the justification for hating EG as per your post, why hasn't every other player trade ever inspired this much hate? Naniwa sure was a dick for going to Dignitas, right? And QXC, that evil bastard, abandoned his friends to go to FXO! Oh, what about Rain leaving TSL for Fnatic? People hated Rain before that switch, and yet I can't remember this much negativity being drummed up over that switch. The list goes on and on. The least you could do is admit the hate is completely irrational and stop pretending there's a good reason to direct it only at EG despite the fact that they're doing the same thing as every other team.

A big part of being a fan IS being emotionally invested and I actually love it how people can be so passionate about this scene that they will be upset. We're not machines who think only about business, we're fans. Our brains may understand the decision financially but that doesn't mean our hearts have to like it. And your butt will hurt for ages to come...... I for one am excited to see foreigners willing to do whatever it takes to improve play and at least attempt to match Koreans in training regiment and skill. Good luck to all involved.

HuK starts performing poorly because EG sucks. HuK says "FUCK EG" and goes back to liquid cause they are awesome.

But I personally believe that this the start of a decline in the level of HuK's play that we will be seeing in the next few months. It is hard to hold back the massive rant I want to unleash on EG so I am going to leave it at this...money may buy you players, but as you have seen from the majority of the EG house, it doesn't buy you skill. WRONG - money can buy you skill, they just invested in poorly skilled players in the past.

They're NOT doing the same thing. FXO bought a whole team. That's different from buying a single player from a team, of course the reactions are going to be different. Liquid buying hero from ogs was also different, they're in partnership. I agree that the hate is irrational (as most things are in sports fan related things) though.
