EG is like the yankees in SC2 but without the success. Wait does that mean they are not like the yankees?

I wonder who else is going to be going to the house in korea and who the other signing will be.

Look at the hype thread. Look at the traffic and views they generated with something so simple. A lot of people dont like EG because theyre a business thats makes money but what do you guys think the goal of a business is? To make money.

I dont understand how their sponsors profit from forum posts.

EG has teams in lots of games. Their reach is much more the just Starcraft, which makes it appealing to sponsors.

So does almost every team, dont they?

Think harder.

I know where youre pointing at but its not that simple that forum posts in EG threats = people buy EG's sponsors products. And besides a lot of people dont like those moves by EG which hurts EGs image which in turn does not benefit their sponsors.

But anyway I dont want to care too much about this.

It actually wont matter whether people hate them or love them. They'll attract the viewership and an audience either way.

Interesting. I'd love Huk, Idra & Artosis to sit down with a camera and talk about Starcraft II ASAP :d

I dont see why everyone is hating.

It's professional gaming, playing video games for a living, why are people turning this industry into some sort of gossipy 12 year old girl crap.

HuK made his own decision, and i'm sure he knows what's best for himself. It sucks to see people assume all these things like "he's going to get worse", or "IdrA will never make it into code S".

Let the future play itself out please. I'm not interested in the progamming scene for all this gossip shit.

So EG get a pro-house in NA...then move Idra out of it to go practice with expensive new signings Huk and Puma in Korea!

Feel bad for Demuslim, stuck with the B Team now. Maybe he can get a place in Korea too for some decent practice xD

I also feel bad for Demuslim, he just made a huge step in his life to move to US to train in the new house and then Idra leaves which is their best player (or was)

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Demuslim also ends up going to Korea to practice and play in code B he's in a fairly akward position of not being as good as puma, huk and idra but better than the rest of EG.

It's only the beginning.

The more money they dump like this, the more they fail.

Karma is a bitch.

How is one team having more money than another mean they have bad Karma. It seems like sales for Ben and Jerry's and Oprah viewership is going to raise. Kleenex will also make a killing from all the tears, lol.

It's not about having the money, it's about how you use it.

FXO could buy off EG ten times over, but look at how they're building a team.

EG won't fail because of the abstract notion of "karma", they will fail because they're not capable to actually manage a team after buying off the players.

They will fail for the same reason they have been failing so far, the only problem is that they keep dragging players with great potential down with them.

Idra, Grubby (luckily he got away), Demuslim... Puma and sadly HuK are only the last in this line. Actually one can only hope they are the last.

idrA is heading back to Korea with Huk and PuMa. I think they're using their money well, their team is only getting better. You're the one that mentioned Karma btw and I'd also like to see FXO try and buyout all of EG, lol. You just sound like another hater brah.

Serious question: Will EG be removing any of its players like Strifeco/Axslav/Lzgamer?

I'm also interested about this. EG, any announcements?!?

But those who cry about HuK moving on and cursing because its EG and all that shit, people need to remember that HuK is playing this game for a living, not just for fun. Ridiculous and stupid to start bashing him/the teams because of this move.

I doubt they will be removing strifecro/axslav. They currently live in the team house and aren't going to be a ridiculous expense for EG (their salaries are probably nothing in comparison to huk/idra/puma).

LzGamer I'm not sure about... I don't think he's in the EG house and we haven't seen much of him lately. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets cut loose.

Thats another thing i'm wondering about..

To quote Totalbiscuit:

"The only weird thing about this is, why would you go and setup a US training house when your 3 best players won't be living in it? O_o"

Guess we will see..

To grow more than 3 players? Maybe they don't want all their guys in korea. its not weird at all. Why is fxo gonna have guys in malaysia and korea?

Would it be better that the other players just were off living on their own or in the arizona house? It also gives them a hub to prepare for all NA tournaments

Part of me wants to say, "where is the team loyalty after spending a year with them?", or "why does it have to be just about money?", but I guess that's not practical. Congrats to EG, 3 hard hitters now.

Did you not watch any SC2 in 2010?

Do you remember the two foreigners who actually did well in GSL?

Did you miss the part where this isn't 2010 and idra is 0-15 against koreans and like 3-8 vs europeans in his recent games? Oh wait I forgot he beat tandangho in eg Masters Cup. 2-15.

I have to admit I haven't read anything, but has anyone a clue what exactly EG offered to HuK? HuK must obviously be aware of the fact that EG has overall worse practice partners, let alone the drama this must cause for him on a personal level.

Anyone knows what the deal is exactly like? I hope nobody feels like I want to insult anyone as salaries/etc. are normally public knowledge in basketball, ice-hockey, football, etc.

HuK will be in KOREA still in a new place with idra and puma, do you honestly think that he still wont train with his oGs friends and on the korea ladder?

Like I said, of course they will stay in contact, but in a different way than actually living in the oGs house. When you're part of a team, you try to come up with new insights and strategies while keeping these secret for the other teams. This is basically the way how you prepare for a high-level tournament like the GSL. Now, when HuK is leaving the house, these specific insights that MC or Inca might come up with will not be given to HuK, probably only to a lesser extent. So, it still is a bad situation because your practise possibilities will become smaller.

Although it's great for HuK, I'm still wondering about some of the decisions EG made recently:

- Why buying a house in Arizona if your best player there (IdrA) is moving away? I don't think the other members will really improve a lot without a much better player coaching and motivating them.

- While it's great for EG to have a house in Korea, it only contains three players and no coach. So, for preparing for an upcoming match, I don't know if it's good to just practise to one person for a specific match-up or not having the possibility of recieving some insights or help from players who play the same race. Of course, contact with members from oGs will still exist, but to a lesser extent of course than when playing in the oGs house and requiring strategies they come up with.

So, while I partly dislike the decision from HuK and partly support him, I hope he can continue his current succes in this new house.

Yea unless they are purchasing a coach, i dont see how it can be anywhere near as appealing as the OGS house, with how many players they have + great support from coaches/ manager.

Huk wasnt thinking about that though, he was thinking about that PAPER PAPER.

ANd i think it wont be many more than the three of them, idra hated living in the really crowded team house environment, so im sure it will be a place (apartment) where they can have their own rooms, wich will be nice, but not conducive to practicing.

Indeed, although I can't blame HuK for trying to make more money with Starcraft 2. However, I wonder if he will be able to keep his current shape while living in a new house with only two people to practise with. Without a coach or great new insights. Especially because Idra needs to do a lot in order to even reach the average level of the Korean Zerg players and we haven't seen a lot of PuMa in the Korean tournements. However, having a history of Flash's trainingspartner should give us some hope

Indeed, Idra's record against top foreigners has been spotty at best in the past few months, and his record vs Koreans abysmal. Hopefully the return to Korea will give us back the old Gracken we used to know.

Honestly Idra has been doing pretty well considering the volatility of the game, with another consistent high place MLG run to boot

He only really "fell off" after his stumble/early gg vs MMA where he could have (and i daresay probably would have) won MLG June or whatever that was.
