So does almost every team, dont they?
Think harder.

God you guys make it sound like nobody will practice with HuK or Idra in korea. They all have thier connections, expect nothing but the same/good results from this

Idra won a code a spot on last mlg for the next gsl, right ?
Hes 9th. place with 6 Koreans and Huk/Naniwa in front of him, so Naniwa also requalified for code a ? Guess that deal did pay of

People trying to make money in a capitalistic world, wow!

Ridiculous and stupid to start bashing him/the teams because of this move. I doubt they will be removing strifecro/axslav. They currently live in the team house and aren't going to be a ridiculous expense for EG (their salaries are probably nothing in comparison to huk/idra/puma).
LzGamer I'm not sure about... I don't think he's in the EG house and we haven't seen much of him lately. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets cut loose.

Liquid still number one It's only the beginning. The more money they dump like this, the more they fail. Karma is a bitch. How is one team having more money than another mean they have bad Karma. It seems like sales for Ben and Jerry's and Oprah viewership is going to raise. Kleenex will also make a killing from all the tears, lol.
It's not about having the money, it's about how you use it.
FXO could buy off EG ten times over, but look at how they're building a team.
EG won't fail because of the abstract notion of "karma", they will fail because they're not capable to actually manage a team after buying off the players.
They will fail for the same reason they have been failing so far, the only problem is that they keep dragging players with great potential down with them.
Idra, Grubby (luckily he got away), Demuslim... Puma and sadly HuK are only the last in this line. Actually one can only hope they are the last.

i wonder how long EG will be able to keep up those salaries . we all saw what happened to MYM. : C

HuK will be in KOREA still in a new place with idra and puma, do you honestly think that he still wont train with his oGs friends and on the korea ladder?

You need to understand Huk though, he's a human after all and progaming is his job. If a job with alot higher salarie comes up you need to understand that he wants to take it ^^ However I dont understand how EG thinks when they've just bought the house in Arizona and then making it to some kind of b-team. Also I think Idra going back to Korea is huge

Idra can probably get a freebie into Code A so not a bad deal for him to go back to Korea (hopefully he gets better...)

On August 17 2011 01:43 Weemoed wrote: Although it's great for HuK, I'm still wondering about some of the decisions EG made recently:
- Why buying a house in Arizona if your best player there (IdrA) is moving away? I don't think the other members will really improve a lot without a much better player coaching and motivating them.
- While it's great for EG to have a house in Korea, it only contains three players and no coach. So, for preparing for an upcoming match, I don't know if it's good to just practise to one person for a specific match-up or not having the possibility of recieving some insights or help from players who play the same race. Of course, contact with members from oGs will still exist, but to a lesser extent of course than when playing in the oGs house and requiring strategies they come up with.
So, while I partly dislike the decision from HuK and partly support him, I hope he can continue his current succes in this new house. Yea unless they are purchasing a coach, i dont see how it can be anywhere near as appealing as the OGS house, with how many players they have + great support from coaches/ manager.
Huk wasnt thinking about that though, he was thinking about that PAPER PAPER.
ANd i think it wont be many more than the three of them, idra hated living in the really crowded team house environment, so im sure it will be a place (apartment) where they can have their own rooms, wich will be nice, but not conducive to practicing.

This is one rivalry that I'm glad is finally coming to an end. I could definitely see it ending soon as idra subtely started gaining respect for huks ability and this is the best thing that could happen for that

Guys wait wait... I have a prediction. In three weeks, FXO makes an announcement that they bought the entire EG lineup. Callin' it here folks.

Thats another thing i'm wondering about..
To quote Totalbiscuit:
"The only weird thing about this is, why would you go and setup a US training house when your 3 best players won't be living in it? O_o"
Guess we will see..

Sick team up.
Two of the three best non-Korean players now on one team. :o

He won't have a coach looking over his play nor will he be able to develop and practice new builds together with oGs, as the teams keep such builds for themselves. Not to mention the whole team preparing you for your GSL matches. Being in oGs house is much more worth that living with Idra and Puma.

Good luck to Huk. I'm very interested to see how eg does korea. Having team houses in both korea and arizona allows the players to constantly be in that atmosphere, I hope we see eother eg players head over there, even if its a month long. EG is fucking serious guys.

Bye bye DreamHuK/Liquid'HuK, introducing EG.BucK
I hope Liquid gets a bigger sponsor so that they can keep their players and their nice guy/gentleman vibe. It's quite sad that Liquid's presence in Korea has been on a continual decline ever since they arrived there.
