They aren’t messing around and want to be the “team” and they are willing to put some serious $$ money on the line, because they know if they can win a GSL (which will be a first) they will get more recognition than they know what to do with. That will guarantee EG’s name in StarCraft history, which will only fuel the sponsors… Pure business… They could have gotten a way better player if they wanted to compete with Koreans. This. Huk has a >50 percent winrate in korea, and Idra won't get anything done there. Oh well they have Puma I guess. Maybe if he ever qualifies.

Just because we see their logo on the shirts on MLG from time to time? I dont get it EG has teams in lots of games. Their reach is much more the just Starcraft, which makes it appealing to sponsors.

So huk gives up the OGS house to go practice with Evil genius's. Thats definitely an even trade in terms of skill level
Im sure incontrol will beable to help him improve just as much as MC did honestly really dissapointing there is no way huk is going to beable to keep up his skill practicing with EG instead of OGS, unless they are having a partnership with a korean team, we will have to wait and see i guess but Idra is pretty hated amongst the korean community and evil genius's doesnt exactly have the best reputation in korea after poaching Puma, who would take them in? lol
EG good job poaching huk, maybe one day you will beable to make your own talents instead of buying them.

Well, I can't say that I'm happy with Huk moving to EG. I feel that the TL-OGS partnership was likely instrumental in building him to the level that he's at now. Regardless, I am a Huk fan and I wish him all the best. Here's to many Code S seasons to come!
However, I am ecstatic that Idra is moving back to Korea. I always felt that him leaving would do harm to his play. Like it or not, to be the best of the best, you have to train and compete in the Korean environment. I'm a big Idra fan, and I would love to see him tearing it up again in Code S.
IDRA AND HUK FIGHTING!

Really?
I always felt the reason why HuK & IdrA hated each other was because they were so similar. It's one of those things where they couldn't even see it themselves. (And the only reason HuK never got as much hate was because he was on "Team Liquid" on a TL site.)
Regardless, for me the big news is that IdrA is going back to Korea.

Look at the hype thread. Look at the traffic and views they generated with something so simple. A lot of people dont like EG because theyre a business thats makes money but what do you guys think the goal of a business is? To make money.

I'm very dissapointed, but what else is there to say..money talks at the end of the day.

Wow. What an incredibly brutal loss for Team Liquid. Congrats to EG for the nice signing. Not only did they pick a great hard working player, but they also used the most phenomenal language in their announcement. I'd imagine that there would be much more torches and pitchforks if this turned into another Puma fiasco. Although, I can't help but wonder what Liquid would be like if they had another sponsor to help them out in keeping their players.

HuK wants more money, EG wants players that can actually win shit, shocking.
Still wouldn't have seen this coming. And I guess he won't be playing with oGs now on sigh.
While I'm not a EG fan would be nice to see one of their own players to step up their game if they are seriously going to GSTL, as otherwise it's a three man show or worse if Idra and Puma do not perform for EG.

Liquid still number one It's only the beginning. The more money they dump like this, the more they fail. Karma is a bitch.
How is one team having more money than another mean they have bad Karma. It seems like sales for Ben and Jerry's and Oprah viewership is going to raise. Kleenex will also make a killing from all the tears, lol.

I wonder if he'll be able to improve, moving out of oGs' house and just living with puma/Idra :§ :<<

step the hell back. it is Huk's CAREER, it is up to him to decide what is best for it. Get over it. Huk is still a boss and a true gentlemen for the way he handled this.

Add into the fact they have announced eg lair Korea And That one of the most popular players in sc2, idra, is returning to Korea, its a huge decision. Greg has already earned a code a spot from Anaheim. I bet he dropped iem to focus on Raleigh to get code s That's the only thing that makes sense to me (about dropping IEM). And this will be one of his best bets as far as MLG goes since all of the koreans except DRG and maybe trickster (if he loses in the up/down matches) are already code S.

I'm happy for HuK, but I can't help feel a little bit sad. EG must be making a few more play on some more players. If they are serious about a legit EG training house in Korea, wont they need more than 1 person from each race?
|
I dont get all the hating towards EG, if anything ppl should be happy that they are using more money to support players in eSports. The world for the most part is all about money, if u havent understood that yet maybe you should get a fucking job.
