Meh, I like HuK but EG can't just buy more fans by buying a popular player. It's even more sad now that we know that HerO was just a replacement...

Well, I am not enthusiastic about HuK leaving Liquid, but I have to say if EG fields a GSTL team that would be simple awesome. Foreigners in GSTL fighting!

Yes, they should field a GSTL team.

But first they'd have to find out how /sunglasses...

I also can't believe the number of people who think this is good for HuK's career.

Yeah it's good money for a year or so.

But Puma and Idra are nobodies, and he'll NEVER develop in a GSL contender now, which he claimed was always his goal.

Disappointment on so many levels.

Anyone else think that HuK's play might suffer greatly from this? A practice house with only 2 other players, neither of which are his race, compared to sitting next to MC all the time in oGs. I know he can still play online against some of the oGs guys but it's not really the same and it's much harder to formulate and test new builds with them.

While I understand EG's idea of bringing Huk and PuMa into a EG teamhouse in Korea, I don't understand that Idra is going there too. He obviously reached his limit and is not up to par with Huk and PuMa. Maybe it will change with a newly motivated Idra, but I doubt it.
Also as said in previous posts the further progression of Huks skills are not to be taken for granted now. Depending on which players will be in the new EG teamhouse, he will have a lack of good practice partners and advice from other Protoss players.

I don't get it.
EG, why make a US house then immediately make a Korean house?
Idra, why leave Korea, then go back again?

Huk, why leave liquid?

I think the real question here is, 'how will the effect the relay races?'

Also, only Puma/Huk/Idra in the house in Korea? It's a bit disappointing to hear that not all of EG, or even the majority will be going.

Good luck to HuK and EG. Hopefully losing the oGs team from alongside him wont affect him negatively.

HuK is a sellout and EG is a shitteam, quit overhyping stupid news like this one, it was obvious since like 20 hours ago that HuK was going to EG, the community was hoping for something more. You could have cut this bullshit way sooner if everything you had to announce was a player switching teams.

Calm down tiger. As much as I hate EG, EG has done nothing wrong. They offer a better money and Huk took it. If you are bitter cos TL lost Huk, you cant blame either EG or Huk, they just seek the oppotunity that is best for them.

You're wrong, I can blame both of them, I can blame EG for having overhyped a common player transfer that most of the community already guessed from the beggining and I can blame huk for being a sellout. Team Liquid made him the player he is right now, and instead of being gratefull he just follows the big money.

Its not a common player transfer. Its the current best foreigner. Its a huge signing. Add into the fact they have announced eg lair Korea And That one of the most popular players in sc2, idra, is returning to Korea, its a huge decision.

Greg has already earned a code a spot from Anaheim. I bet he dropped iem to focus on Raleigh to get code s

This is a slap in the face for me. Clearly a good idea for Huk as EG can provide him with a lifestyle, but it feels like it is a step backwards in training for Huk, and it just doesn't seem to me that he has the same personality or mentality of EG players

A players only goal is to make money. If Huk feels EG is his best bet to make enough money to support himself past his 30s, who the FUCK are you to judge him?

Players owe you absolutely nothing.

without people watching, players a nothing. not only in esports but in sports general, a long long time ago there was this thing called, loyality.

I knew it... I even posted it in a few of the threads throughout all the speculation. EG is trying to create a super team to competitively compete against Koreans in the GSL. I was only half sure about Huk, but I could clearly see the direction that EG was trying to head. They aren’t messing around and want to be the “team” and they are willing to put some serious $$ money on the line, because they know if they can win a GSL (which will be a first) they will get more recognition than they know what to do with. That will guarantee EG’s name in StarCraft history, which will only fuel the sponsors… Pure business…

Huk is basically a ladder monster anyways. He hardly ever practices with his teammates.

His biggest advantage in being in the oGs-TL house was that he sat next to MC and could talk to him about strategy and what not all day long.

I'm sure huk will still be good friends with the oGs members. So he should be able to communicate with them.

Also, don't give us this EG to Korea Bullcrap. 3 players is not 'EG to Korea' anymore than Jinro and HerO is 'Liquid to Korea.' I will never be an EG fan, and wait for the day guys like HuK leave for better teams.
