It's quite sad to see one of my favorite players depart from my favorite team, but still best of luck huk, your still one of the coolest tosses around.

WOW theres a lot of negativity here, it's obvious why, but really why are people getting worked up as if EG just fucking KILLED HuK, not acquired him?

Just because that's the public image thats come across in the past and thats what you want to believe, EG isn't this big evil corporation that sits around all day throwing money at talent.

I'm also interested about this. EG, any announcements?!?

But those who cry about HuK moving on and cursing because its EG and all that shit, people need to remember that HuK is playing this game for a living, not just for fun. Ridiculous and stupid to start bashing him/the teams because of this move.

Before joining TL, HuK was NOBODY in the global SC2 scene. Now he's leaving the oGs-TL training house for the EG facility with only PuMa and IdrA at the moment. I mean WTF.
I'm so sad you didn't leave for a greater challenge.
But I can understand your choice as a human, GL anyway.

Why does that mean he wont also practice with the OGs guys when hes still in korea?
Both works out right

There's a difference between practicing with a teammate and practicing with a friend from another team. The former is about being a team. The latter is a favor.

Although it's great for HuK, I'm still wondering about some of the decisions EG made recently:

- Why buying a house in Arizona if your best player there (IdrA) is moving away? I don't think the other members will really improve a lot without a much better player coaching and motivating them.

- While it's great for EG to have a house in Korea, it only contains three players and no coach. So, for preparing for an upcoming match, I don't know if it's good to just practise to one person for a specific match-up or not having the possibility of recieving some insights or help from players who play the same race. Of course, contact with members from oGs will still exist, but to a lesser extent of course than when playing in the oGs house and requiring strategies they come up with.

So, while I partly dislike the decision from HuK and partly support him, I hope he can continue his current succes in this new house.
Bring me to space, and let me wander there forever

I sure hope the korea house is more than idra, puma, huk and no coach because yea... that would probably be a disaster lol. I can't imagine huk ending up happy going from ogs house with ppl who love him and alot of great players to train with to.. living with only a guy he hasn't gotten along with and a korean who doesn't seem to know much if any english lol.. I could almost see a comedy sitcom of those 3 in a house, so awkward.

Also, the US house seems almost pointless without Idra their best player training there. The rest of the team, besides maybe demuslim, are basically washed up duds based on their results so far, I kinda doubt they'll go anywhere especially with koreans invading every tournament.

Sure hope they are teaming up with a korean team (IM?) or getting more foreigners in else this will probably not end well.

HuK is a sellout and EG is a shitteam, quit overhyping stupid news like this one, it was obvious since like 20 hours ago that HuK was going to EG, the community was hoping for something more. You could have cut this bullshit way sooner if everything you had to announce was a player switching teams.

Calm down tiger. As much as I hate EG, EG has done nothing wrong. They offer a better money and Huk took it. If you are bitter cos TL lost Huk, you cant blame either EG or Huk, they just seek the oppotunity that is best for them.

You're wrong, I can blame both of them, I can blame EG for having overhyped a common player transfer that most of the community already guessed from the beggining and I can blame huk for being a sellout. Team Liquid made him the player he is right now, and instead of being gratefull he just follows the big money.

A players only goal is to make money. If Huk feels EG is his best bet to make enough money to support himself past his 30s, who the FUCK are you to judge him?

Players owe you absolutely nothing.

He doesn't owe me nothing, that's for sure, but he does owe everything to TL for making him the player that he is right now. You sir are the typical money whore. I bet you wouldn't mind getting anal fucked for a handful of dollars

He was willing to stick with TL for significantly less money than any other team... it's clear EG made him a ridiculous offer that he couldn't refuse. I am willing to bet it was in the neighbourhood of 100k. You just can't turn that kind of money down...

Well I dont understand a lot of things about e-sports. For example where EG get their shittons of money from. It sure doesnt correlate to success. :D
I mean, how does this work? Why are they able to get so many sponsors who are willing to pay them lots and lots of money and its seemingly not conditioned on success. Just because we see their logo on the shirts on MLG from time to time? I dont get it

Look at the hype thread. Look at the traffic and views they generated with something so simple. A lot of people dont like EG because theyre a business thats makes money but what do you guys think the goal of a business is? To make money.

I dont understand how their sponsors profit from forum posts.

EG has teams in lots of games. Their reach is much more the just Starcraft, which makes it appealing to sponsors.

So does almost every team, dont they?

Eh. I'm not too sad about Huk switching teams, and I'm pretty happy about IdrA returning to Korea. So overall this is decent news to me, and If we get to see the return of Imbalanced, it might even be great news

The hype was stupid, though.

I have to admit I haven't read anything, but has anyone a clue what exactly EG offered to HuK? HuK must obviously be aware of the fact that EG has overall worse practice partners, let alone the drama this must cause for him on a personal level.

Anyone knows what the deal is exactly like? I hope nobody feels like I want to insult anyone as salaries/etc. are normally public knowledge in basketball, ice-hockey, football, etc.
