The best FXO player are now former fOu/TSL member or other koreans. Kind of sad for foreign team.
Yes, it's better to have homegrown talent like Incontrol and Machine Yes it's better... btw. Sheth is pretty successful right now (he's in the winner bracket's fnal at battle.net NA invitational) and Moonglade was the best foreigner at the IEM last yeah. You can't just keep paying salaries to a player who has been pretty much inactive for months. He may was inactive for some time and I think everyone can understand it when someone needs a break for personal reasons. BUT he did played at least the last two month where he won some stuff http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/MOOnGLaDe(WCG 2011 Sydney Qualifier) And please don't play the QXC card.. of cause he is really awesome, IM allkill etc. But he is going to continue studying in the USA. And then, sady, I think he won't have time to train like he is doing now.
This is just speculation but I think that even if QXC does study he is probably bound by some agreement to do regular practice with the fxoteam. Hes probably not going to be doing 8 hours a day like in korea but i'd assume he would still be in contact with the malaysia house for training. Players like sheth and moonglade who are amazingly talented and can train by themselves probably arent what the team necessarily wants or needs. They probably see far more value in investing in new players such as tgun and fou lineup and developing them as players. To do that they need a regular training environment and proof of commitment by atttending international and sponsored events and training with the team.

Arg... all that time playing 2v2's with kelly and such really took a toll on his gaming.

Korea is the place to be if you want to be the best and it's too bad that so many "progamers" would rather stay put in North America and settle for mediocrity and not try to tap their true potential.
fxo fighting~
Moonglade is Australian. And he didn't join them to Korea because of issues. I knew this would happen when there was STILL no sign of him uniting with his teammates in Korea after all this time. I haven't seen much of Moonglade competing at all actually since then. I hope it's not girl issues because at the time he was dating her.

This is just too saddening...
GL to FXO and GLaDe.

GL Moonglade, hope you find a new team.
|
Too bad, but as others have said sort of impending.
|
It's a shame to see him go, but I can totally understand the need for this.
Hope for the best for FXO and mOOnGLaDe

TSL take note: this is how you release a player, not by badmouthing him and trying to ruin his reputation.
Best of luck to both moonglade and fxo.

Because obviously the two situations are completely the same..
Best of luck to both

I knew the "Kelly as the next Yoko Ono" comments would come. Does it matter? Its a game and Moonglade while a great player, wasn't exactly rocking the tournaments. He would be better advised to make sure he focuses on his studies in University. Career prospects for a mid-level SC2 player don't really look fantastic.

If I were good enough and FXO would send me to Korea I would grind the ladder 15 hours every day -_- so much fun. But I'm neither good enough nor willing to give up my life.
|
Hope everything works out for the best, always liked Moonglade as a player.
|
Saw this coming as he was not in Korea with the other, nor willing to move into the malaysian team house.
Good luck to you, fellow zerg !

hmm, too bad :/ hes really good though so we will most likely see more of him i think

But I'm neither good enough nor willing to give up my life. What do you mean giving up on life? I fail to see how playing 5 hours a day "having life" is any better than playing 15 hours and actually winning and progressing. You learn tons of things playing a game (when you get into real life you learn about chances, strategy, thinking ahead, planning to name a few things) and you learn far more playing it in a competitive environment.
You don't want to play it at the highest level that's fine, more power to you. But don't go telling others to "get a real life". This is their life, this is ours. For guys who never had the chance to compete at the highest level it means so much when an idol of theirs goes to compete and plays and wins.

Anyone else notice that whenever a player leaves for a better team or is kicked off, every team manager uses the same terms to describe why they're not on the team anymore? The whole "long term goals not coinciding" thing.
I feel like I'd feel better if they just came out and said they were dropping him because he wasn't making enough tournament appearances
|
Ah, sad news. GL to both Moonglade and FXO.
|
Aww, poor Andrew
|
Not suprised, he really dropped off after he went into GSL :/
