Those people who says Moletrap lacks knowledge of the game should stop trolling around, it's freaking disgusting and stupid. The guy is doing a good job. FAR better than Doa who didnt know shit about the game as an example. Moletraps knowledge about the game is superb, he might not be a good player but he knows the game. Him and Wolf are great.
I think that the people having a problem about Moletrap is in general a "wow look at that nerd.." thingy.. People probably are just jelous or annoyed about him being there..the inner anger about "why him? why not xxxxxx?!" It's silly and stupid. Because he is actually doing a pretty good job, as I said, FAR FAR FAR better than Doa who always was wrong about everything and some people even prefered that guy over Moletrap, Moletrap who actually knows something about the game. It's so silly.
Khaldor is probably a good caster too, but his voice and comments most of the time are just plain stupid.. and he is the most obvious troll sitting there telling us what we see on the screen instead of analytical stuff..so basically none cares about what he says. People just tend to feel anger against his accent. I am one of those.. It's annoying, it cant be helped.

My biggest critiscm of Moletrap is actually something I'm not sure he can do anything about. Simply put, I don't like his voice all too much. It's not pleasant to the ear (for me at least). Something he can't do about except maybe when he screams.

im a huge fan of you, i watched you back in the old sc1 days, and the only complaint i have now is when your casting by your self and you apologize for everything.
its ok that you cant see everything, if you were watching everything it'd be a shitty cast.
your good by your self, and your hilarious either way.

When mole's casting I turn the volume way down and turn on pandora in a new tab, I don't think he's particularly stupid or bad, I just think he makes bad calls and bad jokes and is generally annoying. When he's casting, my enjoyment of the event never rises, but it often drops. Also, he's like this little potato man, it amuses me.

I would agree to it. I don't actually watch code a just because of the casters that's currently casting it. Moletrap is just really bugs me. Just feels like the casters doesn't understand as much as they should for a tournament of that size and caliper. Specially when they are not compete with these high level players like tasteless and artosis, they aren't as up to date with strategies and level of understanding of starcraft 2.

I've changed my mind. Moletrap is fine. he's a lot better than listening to Artosis cast a TvT. He used to be painfully unfunny, but now he is doing quite well. Most imrpoved caster of the year IMO

Oversimplifying the views of people who disagree with you is a great way to never understand them. People who think Moletrap doesn't have enough game knowledge PROBABLY are unsatisfied with his game knowledge.
The main problem I have with Moletrap is that he doesn't make the cast interesting: he will talk about what's happening and occasionally try to predict builds (he's often wrong). He also frequently criticizes professional players often, and this angers people because he has absolutely no reputation as a player.
For contrast, Tastosis both have very good repuations as players (more so Artosis than Tasteless, but that might just be because of less exposure). They both tend to call builds with unerring accuracy, they always have a good amount of background information on the players, and they give interesting insights into the current metagame while still providing hilarious content and explaining why Nestea is a god. When they criticize the players, they do so in a way that's usually respectful, or if not it's at least funny and justified, and certainly not as frequently as Moletrap does.
And don't even get me started on Khaldor. MoleDor is the reason I just skip to see the results of the GSTL unless the players are for some reason outstanding.

tasteless knows nothing about builds or the current metagame. this is not to discredit him, his wit is what marks him as an exellent caster, but i would say his gameknowledge is subpar, definitely below of moletraps.

Today for the first time I just closed the GOM player mid-broadcast because I couldn't bear the infamous Moldor casting the early GSTL matchups (I tuned in later for the big guys). Together they lack humor, game knowledge, synergy, great sounding voices and about all that makes a good casting team. The only thing Moletrap has to save himself is that he's a native english speaker who's willing to stay in Korea. I would suggest watching much more Starcraft than he currently does and polishing his overall knowledge of standard builds and basic gameplan. Don't make too many attempts at humor when even your cocaster doesnt' laugh at your jokes.
Generally two play-by-play (at most) guys should never be paired up. GOM really needs another analyst type to backup Wolf for Code A and GSTL.

My biggest gripe with moletrap is that he doesn't have a good charisma for casting, his commentary and on-camera personality isn't smooth and he has no wit, it makes the cast uninteresting and hard to follow. Just bad casting chemistry. His insight is often very shallow or straight out of his ass  .

my least favorite caster in the gsl casting crew. he has improved quite a bit from where he started.. but i believe there are far more capable casters/casting combinations that gsl could look into.

I just wrote a lengthy e-mail to GOM. This person is poison to our community. I pray that it even reaches Mr. Chae.
I'm very open minded, but I won't stand for this guy disrespecting people who have accomplished far more than he ever will in his entire life. Not to mention, he is always completely unprepared when it comes to his casting.
His casting is the equivalent of that kid who came to class without his homework and ended up saying the dog ate his homework to the teacher. Or in other words, complete bullshit.
