I didn't like him initially and I'm not entirely sure if he improved that much or just grew on me but by the time he left I loved his "nerdy" style. He acted like even more of a nerd than most people in SC2 but it was awesome lol. I think Doa and Khaldor would be a great Code A duo.

It's no bandwagon, it's an opinion train, and one gaining a bit of momentum as seen in past several pages in this thread. Many people are turned off by his casting due many different factors. The day Wolf or Khaldor aren't on to co-cast and Moletrap is left to solocast a GSL Code A or GSTL event alone (won't happen, or very unlikely), is the day I and I feel others will pity GSL. I doubt anyone here has any bad things to say about Moletrap personally, I don't. It's just in terms of his ability as a professional caster, he's quite disappointing. Honestly I hope he reads these criticisms and takes them to heart as motivation to improve. Brushing up on his game knowledge and maybe not yelling at certain times make a big difference.

Code A should just be Wolf (Analysis) and Khaldor (play by play). They are the only decent casters that they have had doing Code A at all. DoA and Moletrap both have their own weaknesses, albeit DoA has less. They both have limited game knowledge and speak so authoritatively about subjects they're often wrong about. It's as if Moletrap doesn't watch other tournaments when he speaks about player history sometimes, and DoA's style is actually quite condescending to the viewer with his false authoritative tone. Not everyone can be Artosis, Wolf is doing a good job at being the number 2 Artosis. Other commentators should stick to just calling play-by-play if they aren't capable of understanding the game, and putting in the hours at watching enough pro games to understand the shifting metagame.

The thing I love about Tastosis is that they have good jokes AND artosis is there to go indepth and make sure the viewer knows whats going to happen. People like JP and Moletrap have no idea whats going on, simply because they arent good. This is also why pros are good casters, because they knows what is happening. IdrA casted a few games, he is one of the best casters I have heard because he go so indepth with the game. Something that moletrap doesnt do. Seems I have to watch the whole GOMTV season with mute on. Sucks for me. If you actually enjoy his irritating voice and short-sighted depth with the game, then congratulations. Your wish came true.

JP is Masters random, Moletrap is platinum. That's a huge difference. I don't like JP as a caster, but I can't say it's because he sucks at the game. Moletrap doesn't have a voice for broadcasting, he doesn't have knowledge for analysis. He doesn't have the humor and charm for color. I don't like anything about the way he casts. I don't watch anything he produces. There's enough SC2 for me to digest that I don't need to take what I can, I make choices regarding what I feel is worth watching, and although I care and pay attention to GSTL/Code A results, I will not watch if he's casting, he hurts my ears with his voice, and my brain with his words.

JP is masters random, but he doesnt play a lot of games IIRC. He only has like 20 games played this season (again, IIRC) And yeah, Moletrap is especially annoying. I remember watching Brown vs Losira and he seriously had a fucking orgasm when he saw carriers coming out. It's NOT a big deal, carrers are STANDARD in the late late game of PvZ. (Maybe not standard, but they are used quite a bit)

He gotten map names wrong, he never talks about builds, he never has anything insightful to say, he knows nothing about Korean trends or metagames, and finally he constantly talks down about players. It's a total contrast to the korean casters who can instantly start talking about builds and rivalries minute 9th worker is cued. Also wtf on the post game interviews? I hope that's not him translating because almost everything that was translated was wrong....

With that said, Tasteless is 10x funnier than Moletrap, has a less annoying voice, and is way more charismatic than Moletrap. Even if Moletrap sat down and played SC2 everyday for multiple hours, actually did some player research, and watched VODs, there are still too many issues. Please don't let Moletrap cast today's awesome Code A games GOMTV, thank you.

You do realize the leagues on most servers are about the same until you get into the masters and above range? Plat in KR would be maybe low diamond on US, if not just plat.

Doa-Wolf was pretty much second to Artosis in terms of charisma, chemistry and analysis. Wolfdor is still well above bearable, but Moletrap-Khaldor are just not good. Moletrap can be a fun caster when paired with the right 'analysis-type' casters.
