fk me, EG is going to improve alot with Puma in their ranks...

But I do feel kinda sorry for TSL, losing one of their best up and coming players after the losses of Fruitdealer and Trickster :-(

How does that qualify in ur head?...
Haters gonna Hate.

that was a US-invite only tourney. lol.

MLG champion, last foreigner in the last MLG placing 4'th behind MC/losira/mma.

Give it a rest you fanboy tool.

Ah so saying that Idra has better results then other foreigners as fact is now fanboy? please get a grip.

The fact that he´s a good player and that you guys are all happy EG picked him up isnt cus he´s korean, it´s cus hes gotten korean training, something he´ll lose now...

This. This. This.

Korea doesn't have something in the tap water and Koreans are not genetically modified to be good at Starcraft.

EG is already installing a team house and they will practice a lot. Saying Puma will disappaer because foreigners can't practice is nothing but blatant elitism.

Part of practising is talking to other people about your games & Starcraft, who else on EG speaks Korean?

Ok, so EG's response to failing results is to snipe a Korean player. Why not, I dunno, put all those side projects on the side and actually set up a rigid practice schedule? A few custom games a day and the NA ladder are not going to keep you sharp.

Conversely, why would Puma really want to join a foreign team when foreign teams operate in a way that's directly opposed to increasing skill? What I mean is, is that most foreign teams are made up of a few players separated geographically. There just isn't the access to the high level practice partners and the type of training schedule needed to keep up with the Korean teams. Many recent tournament results bear this fact out.

Maybe he's tired of the practice schedule? Maybe he realizes he can cash in internationally right now without the need for constant practice? I just don't know.

Also, I'd just like to say how unprofessionally it appears EG went about this. It also appears they don't have much confidence in their own players and felt the need to seek out a top Korean in order to start winning tournaments again. I guess that's what happens when InControl has 8,000 side projects and IdrA just hates the game. Anyway, disappointing all around.

Does IdrA hate the game? I don't remember him quoting that? do you have an inside source we should all know about?

Here's the source:

http://soundcloud.com/jcmoods/inc1

It was a leaked discussion before a show Inc and Idra used to do. I quote "It's a f**ing terrible game".

Every single time idra plays a game you are in the live report thread bashing him even before any "fanboys" say anything....

It's like you have a obsession or something.

Stop changing the topic, this is about puma.

I hate how so many korean is tempted by all the money and wanna come "here" (outside of korea). Don't they realize how our training situation looks like?! Sure they may cash in some money now but in the end they will fall behind BIG TIME because their training won't be anything compared to the players and teams who still plays GSL and practice there. It looks even worse for PuMa now when he seems to get alot of shit from players in Korea. Pitty.

Since when is getting 4th an achievement.

getting 4th behind 3 koreans isn't an acheivment? not to mention the highest placing foreigner zerg at 6 outof the last 7 major tournaments he's been to?

puma knows what's best for him so if he took the deal, obviously it was a good deal. he's the talent. no one owns his talent. if something illegal is going on with breaking contracts, that's another thing, but doesn't seem like it.

Stop calling it theft, for fuck's sake.

Breaking contract

Elaborate, and then provide evidence for these assertions. You have such little information in your brain about the incident but you come to such conclusions somehow?.

I said if, or way to delete the rest of my post. I do not know for sure, but that is a distinct possibility and the person who I was quoting and many of the other people here are not taking that into consideration, or don't even know that Korean teams have contracts.

That practice house in Sweden sure is doing wonders for TLO, Haypro, and crew, huh? I wonder why Naniwa wants to haul ass to Korea so fast, when he has such a great place.

With those two, along with incontrol and a bit of improvement from Demuslim and Machine, this team could own the GSTL!

He never said that Koreans are genetically superior at Starcraft. Quite the opposite.

And it's well-documented that Korean training is what's needed to stay at the top.

Most people on PlayXP have been saying the same thing. Wouldn't make the same generalizations as him but the reactions have been far more negative/much worse than the 50/50 split the in thread poll had.

It seems to be a growing trend for top foreign teams to either get players from Korea or get a whole Korean team (FXO :D). But yeah this is good and bad in a way as many will point out.

Good that Puma has excess to cash that will allow him to go to many more tournaments overseas then i think TSL would have been able to provide for plus he got a salary which I presume is better then old one.

Bad in the way it was handled. I think things could have been handled a bit better but then again we have no idea what the circumstances surrounding it was. Maybe for some unknown reason they chose not to speak to the coach. But EG is one of the most professional teams out there so I hope for them the best.

Just wondering how long it will be before more and more Korean players are head hunted by foreign teams. Also I think EG will be showing crazy results in the next few events (Idra, DeMuslim, Puma, Incontrol,LzGamer, etc just so much power).

Lets be serious here, EG is not failing, they have very good results. IdrA is doing quite well as well, I seriously don't see where all this hate comes from, not only that its not really sniping a player they asked puma and he said yes, so its HIS DECISION I just do not understand why people like you bother commenting, can you tell me which foreign team is having better results than EG in the 1 year of starcraft being released? and lets be serious here, while liquid may be a foreign team all their star players are on a Korean schedule in Korea so I would consider them Korean. Does IdrA hate the game? I don't remember him quoting that? do you have an inside source we should all know about?

It's not even a decision between money and better practice. It's a decision between more money and less money. Starcraft 2 is a "get pro in your own garage" kind of game. A practice house only gives marginal benefit. It's not like your practice partners are going to be cutting all ties with you because you changed teams, everyone has practice partners on different teams anyway.
