@hazelynutsc2 I don't think Puma will be welcomed back tbh judging by the responses, not for a while :O

Good luck getting practice partners, Puma. Ugh.

Without derailing this, that won't be a problem for a skilled player. sAviOr still has people willing to scrim with him, after doing far worse than what Puma is alleged to have done (if someone were at fault here, besides TSL, which I doubt, it would be EG, and the last person to have done something wrong would be Puma).

Well I think we can safely assume that Clide won't be helping out PuMa anytime soon ...

2011: The Year of the Great Korean Diaspora

Holding off judgement until EG makes a statement. It's a great pickup by them, and it does look like TSL is falling apart as a team.

that was a US-invite only tourney. lol.

MLG champion, last foreigner in the last MLG placing 4'th behind MC/losira/mma.

Since when is getting 4th an achievement.

Well no other foreigners have any "better" results except for possibly huk and arguably Jinro (who I think has equal with Idra). Just saying for someone with "no" results what have other foreigners done in major tournaments?

two sides to every story!

Nope. It's more like two stories to each side - the real one, and the one they'll grace the public with.

But oh well - roll out the EG damage control PR squad again.

I don't see a side there. I see Scoots vaguely pissing on TSL statements without offering an explanation himself. Sure he's with Alex working out a nice PR side to what they did.

Holy shit dude give it a rest. It's the middle of the night in America and presumably didn't know the TSL coach was going to make a press release. Obviously they are having a secret meeting plotting their lies right at this moment. It's not like Scoots could be unhappy (just like the TSL coach is) that this announcement was made without their side of the story and they haven't prepared a press release yet. You've obviously made up your mind already, however, so I doubt it will matter to you.

I'm also in america...and I base my statement on Scoots not offering an explanation BECAUSE HE JUST FUCKING TWEETED. Oh wait, you can do that while asleep.

Just because Scoots is awake doesn't mean EG is prepared to make an official statement about their biggest acquisition in the middle of the goddamn night.

If I was aware of how the TSL manager received this/in what manner, and since Puma moved out yesterday I would assume he did, and knowing that Koreans work on different time and this is Korean business hours, I would have damage control PR ready, yeah. Even if he doesn't think he did anything shady (and I doubt he does), I would at least be aware that some people might interpret this the wrong way and have something ready.

So people like Catz have complained that koreans winning all the foreign money would hurt the foreign scene. What happens if all the GSL koreans plus the koreans on foreign teams win all the foreign money, what then? Do koreans on foreign teams winning count as foreigner wins?

You can steal cars. You can't steal people. Because they are not property.

Stop calling it theft, for fuck's sake.

Elaborate, and then provide evidence for these assertions. You have such little information in your brain about the incident but you come to such conclusions somehow?.

Well, Puma doesn't actually speak English, so it's not like Puma got his translator to go up to EG and ask them, 'Hey, let me join your team and leave TSL!'

Gz to machine tho.

Wow, I didn't know machine plays 40k. The man is a true Renaissance Nerd.

Also: the TSL coach may have a bit of a point. It may be good for e-sports, on an international level, to adopt some standards and rules for swapping players. Most professional sports teams have ways to deal with it.

However, I think the more the foreign scene and Korean scene intermix, the better.

With those two, along with incontrol and a bit of improvement from Demuslim and Machine, this team could own the GSTL!

No. The only player that would be able to compete in the GSTL on that team is Puma. Korea is on a different level to the rest of the players.

I'd say Idra when he was in Korea but even he admits the practice has been worse since he left.

If my assumptions are correct that EG just made an offer directly to Puma without contacting TSL at all and Puma accepted it and just informed TSL that he is interested in this offer -Really shady moove by EG to contact a player directly and even more disrespectful moove by Puma towards his team to actually say yes to this. If this is true i will sign myself out of both EG and Puma fanclubs( not like anyone gives a damn). But i found this funny - translation from OrangeMilkis regarding a Korean netizen - "Its not surprising considering its idra's team" LOL

People still seem to think that Puma will benefit from this. Please tell me how. Sure, he will travel a lot of foreigner events and get a lot of money FOR A SHORT TIME. He can live off being amazing and talented for a few months now but after that he´s gonna dissappear as long as EG doesnt get him some good practice, which they cant if they dont put him in a korean house.

The fact that he´s a good player and that you guys are all happy EG picked him up isnt cus he´s korean, it´s cus hes gotten korean training, something he´ll lose now...

This. This. This.

Korea doesn't have something in the tap water and Koreans are not genetically modified to be good at Starcraft.

EG is already installing a team house and they will practice a lot. Saying Puma will disappaer because foreigners can't practice is nothing but blatant elitism.

Who is he going to practice with? Machine and LZ?

I love EG man, Im a fan but Puma needs better practice partners than that to stay on the top.

Also, foreigners training-schedules are a joke compared to korean, it´s that simple.

Protoss, can't live with em', can't kill em'.

No it's EG's fault.

Actually, I blame them both equally. I'll wait until EG releases a statement until I make my final judgment (not that anyone will care ), but it does take two to tango.

Going to wait till I watch lo3 before I jump to any conclusions. After scoots talked about sk/fnatic not doing things the right way and then supposedly stealing puma there must be a good reason OR scoots is scum. I would like to believe the former.

I hope it was just something like puma not being a salaried player and as such not being contractually bound to the team. Surprisingly there wasnt a similar reaction when fd and trickster left tsl.
