Yeah, it's not like any swedes was involved in the CS1.6 affair with gux, delpan, fnatic & SK. Similiar situation this; like gux-thingy if it Puma wasn't under contract and like delpan if Puma had a contract... either way sirscoots commented on in on Lo3 in a pretty critical manner then so I would assume he has an explanation. some reading for those interested: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=227816
I don't remember what episode of Lo3 this was discussed, one in may I would assume... anyone know?

people are saying Puma just let the coach know that he is leaving for EG and just packed his things and left on the 20th without any discussion of this matter.
also, it seems like there was no written contract signed with TSL.
with that, of course the coach had no choice but to announce his release.
this was from just a forum so take it for what it is.

Good job making SC2 look like a joke.
That sums it up pretty nicely!

If it was any other team, I might have been shocked. Typical EG though.
I guess you haven't heard of SK, fnatic and mYm....
Acting like this is a new thing in esports is just naive.

Why is everybody so surprised about PuMa joining EG? Korean SC2 teams aren't superior to Western ones in terms of marketing or business professionalism. There are several EU/US organizations that have a bigger budget than any Korean SC2 team. And I can guarantee you that every successful Western teams makes use of player contracts. If TSL had a valid player contract with PuMa, they most certainly wouldn't have let him go just like that, that's just not how things are done.
Furthermore, Korean SC2 players have been in touch with European and American clans since quite a while, that's nothing new either. Even PuMa himself had contact to other teams prior to EG.

good job BMing korea EG. good pickup nonetheless.

What is this, Counter-Strike?
o: Very sensationalist. Crazy stuff, but what I've come to expect from EG.

If a player wants to leave his team for a foreign team that's fine but just blatantly stealing them not cool. Yes, EG broke into their team house in a daring midnight raid and kidnapped Puma before the alarm could be raised. They then snuck him onto a container ship and have smuggled him into America where they are now going to lock him in the basement of their new team house and beat him savagely with lake trout until he practices with them. Lol you don't get it. You don't attempt to recruit players without talking to their teams. It's why no one made a fuss when FXO got Oz, cause they went through the proper channels and contacted F0u. It may be ok to poach employees where you're from (but I'm from the US and it's not ok here so I doubt it), but you don't dodge the organization who HAS THE CONTRACT for a player and recruit him first, then go to the team and ask to release him.

Okay im so confused, im a big EG fan because of Incontrol and all the help i have gotten watching his stream and his streaming lessons. What i dont get is all the EG hate, it seems that its not just this that people are mad about but Eg has done stuff in the past to make people mad. If someone could list out what EG has done to piss people off so much it be appreciated. And please dont just flame EG, tell me what they did and not just some bs BLARGH THEY SUCK thing
Also i think this is great for EG and for the fans, we can see puma and a LOT of big tournys now like dream hack and MLG

must be more worthwile Puma entering all foreign tournaments then playing in GSl, probably sitll play in it but looking for what he thinks is easy money abroad... )

Wow, is TSL going to disband soon, it's losing players left and right...on the other hand, wow for EG. Huge news..."foreign" team leagues are going to be scary, now.

You say that as if it's a good thing. Professional sports are a corrupt, evil industry who profiteer massively off players and treat them like cattle to be sold.
The fact that SC2 players are allowed to actually hear about better opportunities for themselves is great.
Are we rooting for players here, or is this another case of "we want our nerd sports to emulate jock sports so we look cool"?

Obligatory Yankees reference.

I really don't think it is THAT big of a deal. I still don't know how I feel on the whole situation and I will wait for more info, but the point I am making is that your post is essentially equivalent to "YOU'RE RUINING ESPORTS!"

Why would they keep someone who no longer has any interest at all in staying on the team? Have a think before you post such nonsense.. You think TSL just let puma out of his contract for no reason and EG signed him before any other team? Thats obviously not what took place.. EG clearly poached puma, then when TSL found out they had no choice but to let their player go..
