Problem with this is that a contract won't help if your player wants to leave. Sure you can keep him and keep paying his salary but he won't perform to his normal level. That's also probably the reason TSL straight out decided to release him from his contract.

I hear as of right now Puma is tied and gagged on a plane heading to Scoots house

Reading through this thread there is so much misinformation ;\ If you don't know what you're talking about please don't try to educate others (incorrectly).

What's with the hype about this, yeah Puma is good player, but he just moved from one average, a bit falling apart team, to another even worse team that is not even so big in SC2, and non existent in Korean tournaments.. so why are this news SO big, beside the fact they ninjaed him before he left his team.

I'm starting to really dislike EG.

It seems to me that the coaches are pissed because they felt like the player was going over their heads, when a Western team wouldn't necessarily be bothered for that reason (although others may exist in a sketchy deal like this).
I don't see anything wrong with it, good players should always be courted by everyone and it's up to them to decide where they actually want to go.
even in 'western way of thinking' you dont see Bulls or Rockets manager go to LeBrown James at a tourneys and offer him to join them. You would need to go to the proper channel if you want to have him

more like the Mets of SC2. Spend lots of money, produce mediocre results at best.

Yes, EG broke into their team house in a daring midnight raid and kidnapped Puma before the alarm could be raised. They then snuck him onto a container ship and have smuggled him into America where they are now going to lock him in the basement of their new team house and beat him savagely with lake trout until he practices with them.

I am unsure of how it exactly works, but a player has to send in a "transfer request" to the team in order to get traded. It all depends on what is written in the contract anyway.

Isn't this just capitalism at work? So much easier to get a Korean player than it is to make a foreigner like a Korean.

I know moonan can, I'm pretty sure someone else can also..
Maybe slog? Not sure don't quote me on that.
Edit: I win

Anyone else think this situation is actually so fitting for EG's name? Evil Geniuses indeed.

I want Puma to be in foreigner tournaments...But what EG did...was just so disrespectful.. Words can't describe.. Obviously, you can say Puma had a choice, which is why Korean netizens are frowning upon him...But EG did a really sneaky move.
