Thank god there are other people who can translate for us Well Milkis is korean... of course he's biased and he has every right to be... but I don't see any bias from him in the OP, just a some links/translations of other articles and some updates on the situation. I'm not sure about people taking what he says seriously, I think most people are only taking what he translated seriously...

Why is this guy here. | ||

Thank god there are other people who can translate for us Let me know where I've been biased and I'll remedy it. Or, if you can't even read Korean, how could you even accuse my work of being biased? I take accusations of "bias" in my translations seriously so please, provide proof when making these accusations. Please also don't imply I have no idea what's going on. Just because I wasn't articulate on the show does not mean I'm not quite aware of what's going on. Or if you disagree with my opinion, then you disagree with my opinion. However, calling me "biased" because of that is laughable since I make sure that I stay true to the source as possible.

To be fair, its friggin' Puma, if tsl didnt give him room and board, someone else certainly would have. So I cant really see that as tsl making Puma what he is. Edit: <3 TSL, <3 Puma, <3 Milkis

And in return for that he played for Mr. Lee under TSL's name I think the logic of "employer-employee" doesn't apply to the TSL team. Apparently, Coach Lee decided to run the team more like a charity(family) sort of thing rather than a business company so there is a strong bond between the coach and every players. The relationship between the coach and player is sort of like father and son sort of thing. As for the money on why don't they pay every players, Starcraft 2 is Korea is currently in a bit of a struggle right now (with Brood War still going on). Some teams are struggling financially with no big sponsor.

As for an EG statement, I don't see why they even need to make one. I suppose to announce the player acquisition? I bet EG was already preparing to make a statement- After they actually signed Puma. This could've all been averted if after Puma talked to Mr. Lee, Puma gave Mr. Lee the business card and Mr. Lee talked to EG, or something that'll get the two together. It sounds like Mr. Lee assumed EG doesn't care and wouldn't want to talk about it so he just went to press about how he was disappointed that EG didn't want to talk about it before either side tried. This is why you should contract even if you aren't paying anyone. It's creates formalities and FORCES the old team and the new team to talk to each other. Even if the old team never paid the player, it's an offical changing of teams for that player and this would've been avoided. I think I understand why Koreans are so "meh" about signing practice partners whom work for free, but they really need to get over that IMHO..

So then why does it even MATTER whether TSL had the chance or not to offer a contract (which by the way they had the opportunity to counter the offer and nothing came of it) Puma made a choice. Play with EG, get a guaranteed contract, make some money. If TSL is strapped for cash, that's TSL's problem. Obviously TSL hasn't exactly been doing a great job retaining their players, so why should Puma be subject to staying there just because its the "Korean" way? Closed book on this argument. If TSL wanted to offer a contract they could have (and may have). If they don't want to, then they've also made a choice (kinda like Puma did).

I'm not very aware of who Milkis is/his past works. But in this entire situation I thought Milkis was affiliated with TSL at first. His tweets and posts felt very accusatory like he was taking everything that TSL said as a fact while trying to vilify EG.

Attacking Milkis because he translated news/a perspective that EG didn't want to spread is not ever appropriate. Its not like he was maliciously mistranslating something to put EG in a bad light, it was the only news that the world HAD on this issue. If EG had released a statement, we could have read that alongside with the translation. Don't kill the messenger.
