Given the choice of fucking course puma is going to join eg like every single one of you would, hmmm should i live in a barracks room filled with 8 other people or should i travel the world and live in rmuch better conditions??! For puma the choice was always going to be leave tsl given the opportunity Lol. okay. So yes, i agree, Puma wanted the better deal. Also; people are forgetting that sc2 is pretty much all about the money... It was specifically made to be an e-sport with big tournys and teams with big money.

* What TSL contract are some of you talking about? From the sound of it Puma wasn't even on contract with TSL (which in this day and age is just wrong).

The only part I can seriously see you guys finding bad is that EG approached Puma directly, and they didn't approach his coach instead. That's the only part. Every other step in this series of events was based off of what Puma wanted. Are you really going to criticize EG for something that Puma wanted to do? That's like criticizing EG for Tyler wanting to sign with them (lulz). What fault is it of EG's? Puma (or Tyler) could have said no. In fact, if Puma had this foolhardy sense of "respect" and "honor" that you guys are trying to apply to EG, he would have laughed at EG and stayed with TSL. Once again, the SC2 community that is apparently so "good" and "friendly" and "totally not in every stream chat shitting on people for no reason" is totally being "judgmental" and "rushing to shit on people with knowing or understanding the facts" and "shitting themselves because a Korean might just be able to play at more foreigner events." Please. You guys repeatedly cry foul of things killing ESPORTS, (seriously so, not joking around, I'm sure), yet you guys are doing it right here. Every maker of Warp Prism that you burn to the ground before hearing his side of it (and only taking the word of some retarded Reddittor who managed a "who is" search but no other real research as gospel) and every 130+ page thread that we blow up without, you know, hearing how Puma thinks of the situation is what is showing the community for what it really is. But, you know. This is all good as long as we get to shit on Puma, who obviously can't think in his best interests without him being a traitor to TSL, and EG, because they're the big bad corporation that broke of State of the Game. Come on guys. Get serious. It's really frustrating when people get on their high horses about the E-sports community. Instead of crapping on it, how about you actually try to improve it? You realize you are part of the community, too, right? You realize that by making all sorts of ridiculous assumptions and generalizations, you are fueling the fire? It's a bit silly - just read your post and you might see what I'm talking about. You think we are all angry that Korean players will play at more foreigner events? Hell no, not me at least - I have wanted this all along. It's actually painful and disgusting to have to read so many posts about how the E-sports community is terrible and fickle - all the while the posters of these comments are making terrible claims and generalizations that they are denouncing at the same time. It's idiotic. Also, we know that the TSL coach is pretty angry about this - that is enough to know that there was a problem with this. TSL and their coach knows a lot more about this deal than you, and they are pissed - are you gonna use that same line on them? Know the whole story! Know what Puma wants ! Yeah, okay... Obviously if he went to EG that's what he wanted - that doesn't mean the deal wasn't sleazy. If Puma honestly wanted to go to EG, then TSL probably would have given in eventually anyways if EG had gone through them. Then there really wouldn't be any controversy at all.

The only good thing they seem to be good at is creating buzz (Demuslim -thanks to his friendship to Rotterdam-, Idra) or drama (InControl, Idra). They desperately need someone talented to strengthen their roster. I guess they found it.

EG are acting like any professional sports team would. Pumas acting like any professional sportsmen would. TSL understandably are aggrieved but just like in professional football, the clubs that develop the talent are usually under the power of clubs with bigger money and more to offer. Hopefully this will gradually lead to the birth of an organization will look to protect the rights of both the player and the team, making it so any team trying to sign a player under contract will need permission from that players team before they can discuss terms with him. Sucks for TSL but cant say I'm not amped by the idea of Puma and Idra practicing together.

A korean pro house is pretty much the best training you can get. :

Also, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosman_ruling comes to mind. Sure It's tougher for teams to keep players, but you have contracts for that and your local sport getting global sounds like a players heaven to me, so much more competition, so many more opportunities.

He's a good player, but he just got $50k and wants more of it. TSL obviously can't pay him as much as EG can offer, plus he can't get into code A so why not go for EG? I know I would if I were him.

He'll propably get more money, more tournaments, he still can try in GSL and out of all foreign teams EG and Mauz are propably best ones to join. Congratulations Puma!

To do that, there would actually need to be a contract. Was TSL just paying Puma under the table? It just doesn't make much sense. The guy was plugging TSL and saying how the NASL victory would be so great for the team; that doesn't sound like a free agent to me at all. Basically yeah, he played for TSL at the time on their 'b team' of sorts, without cntract.

do people really think TSL made Puma who he is or did anything for him monetarily that EG isn't willing to outdo? they didn't, ESTRO made Puma just like ESTRO made IdrA and TSL was just the team he ended up on because when Tester and Cool left oGs as their aces(LOLOYALTY) and created TSL with Clide, they and all the other korean teams were picking up former BW players they had connections with. Puma was a skilled player before he ever started playing SC2, and he doesn't need TSL for practice partners, he is highly requested by everyone for practice. if anything, it says more about TSL that they have multiple players that are willing to leave their team to play on other teams, even foreign teams. first SKS and FruitDealer, then Rain and now Puma. nobody seems to question why that is, naturally, being the internet riot hivemind most people are. there are clearly things happening on TSL that warrant leaving if so many people are doing it all around the same time. either they don't pay anything, or the players don't value what TSL offers very much.

Fruitdealer and Tester's salaries were paid for mostly by Fruitdealer winnings. You think players being paid that much are going to just part with TSL like they have done while they're getting 30k a year? Its a misleading statistic.
