I'm not going to have any opinion on this as I'm not even nearly related to that. And that is what some people here should do, too. You're right, people shouldn't have their own opinions. but if there's nothing in the comments that threatens slayer eves safety it's overreacting from what i saw it seems like just perverted things said over the internet, that people should be used to by now

It's unprofessional. You have to be able to shake off the haters, flamers, whiners and complainers without peeping a single word to maintain your professional integrity.

Kim Ga Yeon saw "potential" in a gold level player and recruited her partly for her "looks." And she's surprised by this reaction? The Internet is an instrument of blunt will, and people need to understand that.

You can't expect the police to lock people up for expressing their opinion.

Things like "this player is bad" or "he sucks" is so common it is best left ignored.

First that happens, then the police will prosecute people who express opinions they disagree with online. You're walking a very thin line with censorship here.

Of course you're going to get haters, with so many good players on the server that don't have a team (shinystar) they recruit a girl, which is problematic enough in a male dominated game. I try not to have a sexist view on things, but it would be stupid for me to say that if they had recruited shinystar that they would have message boards posting shinystar's head on AV porn. You get what you buy, you buy a girl with looks, you get the problems with sexual harassment, you buy a subpar player, you get criticism (just look at all the shit Fernando Torres got when he left for Chelsea). If even a player with the prowess of Torres gets crap from people, you can imagine what an average player like Eve would get. Then you mix the two together and place them into a community that values skill over looks most the time and you get a problem. Whether you should actually report people for being mean over the internet is questionable, but I agree if you want to get rid of the stigma that female programers are sacred cows. You have to be ready to accept people will be idiots and that they will bash girls for being girls. Jessica should get off her high horse, being objectified is a part of being a public figure. TL,DR: If you're going to market a progamer (and a girl progamer) for skills and looks, you're going to have to realise that she must either perform at a high level like all the other progamers, or she will be viewed as a glorified cheerleader :/ .

Internet censorship is pure shit, so I definitely disagrees with all of Jessica's actions that go beyond simply expressing her opinions with words.

You call it ignorance when you don't build an opinion based on rumors, stuff "you heard" but you don't actually know about? Do you know Jessica's intentions? Do you know how Eve feels? Do you know the history of online-flaming results? Do you know the suicides that were caused by things like that? Do you know how far these people actually went? Do you know what the police stated to these kind of issues? Do you know ANYTHING that makes YOU competent enough to have an opinion on that topic? If you have, go for it and judge. But if you lack important facts, then don't even dare to judge -_-.

http://www.twitlonger.com/show/bqp8ek + Show Spoiler + I don't think people understand what's happening with @SlayerS_Jessica and the legal action. I was talking about it with her, so let me explain her position: she isn't just suing random people, whether fans or antis. When a female player joined the ranks of SlayerS, certain people photoshopped her into indecent and pornographic images out of spite. Others also spammed sexist, derogatory posts about her Jessica. Eve feels humiliated and hurt by the abuse. Jessica is not suing the average anti who is saying bad things about SlayerS: she is taking action against people who are immorally persecuting her and one of her team members. Korean observers see what's happening, but there's some non-Koreans who think that she's just suing random Starcraft fans: this is not true. She's going after the people who are defaming and humiliating one of her team members. Jessica is trying to protect SlayerS Eve, someone who has only just come into the public eye and doesn't deserve the abuse. She is doing what any person would do to protect their family and friends; if someone close to you was getting that kind of abuse for absolutely no reason, wouldn't you do everything in your power to stop it?
