OP might want to add this: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/bqp8ek + Show Spoiler +I don't think people understand what's happening with @SlayerS_Jessica and the legal action. I was talking about it with her, so let me explain her position: she isn't just suing random people, whether fans or antis.
When a female player joined the ranks of SlayerS, certain people photoshopped her into indecent and pornographic images out of spite. Others also spammed sexist, derogatory posts about her Jessica. Eve feels humiliated and hurt by the abuse.
Jessica is not suing the average anti who is saying bad things about SlayerS: she is taking action against people who are immorally persecuting her and one of her team members.
Korean observers see what's happening, but there's some non-Koreans who think that she's just suing random Starcraft fans: this is not true. She's going after the people who are defaming and humiliating one of her team members.
Jessica is trying to protect SlayerS Eve, someone who has only just come into the public eye and doesn't deserve the abuse. She is doing what any person would do to protect their family and friends; if someone close to you was getting that kind of abuse for absolutely no reason, wouldn't you do everything in your power to stop it?
She wanted to say something to the international fans, but didn't feel confident enough with her English... so I've translated the conversation and put it into my own words. My bad if my recollection isn't that great.
She wanted to say to Starcraft fans in general, saying that she was only angry at the people showering abuse at Eve.
Eve's just a kid who's only just starting out in her professional career and can't be expected to be stoic after being attacked like that even before she debuts. What has she done wrong? She feels hurt and humiliated. That's just wrong.
This kind of shit has to stop and Jessica is nipping it in the bud before things escalate.

What everyone is flaming her is not for being a girl on the slayers team, but a gold on the slayers team. That is just riduculous they would allow such a low ranking player on the ladder to join a professional team

I still don't think she will be able to do anything. At most she will get the site to remove the images, I really do not think photoshopping pornographic images can be considered a crime, people do it to celebrities all the time. Like others have said it will only add more fuel to the fire, people will get behind proxies and make more images just for the reaction, and to be honest I think the police have better things do than chase down random people on the internet.

Good old attitude of most western nations
" whatever I really don't give a shit unless your in my face "
I mean the women is treating her, like her daughter you can not really be mad
Im sure most of you guys if had a daughter and guys posted about raping her or physically assaulting her you would be livid
the shit is serious there and IMO its a good thing she can go to the police and have something done to those people, hopefully they will get fined or jail time or something

One thing people should know, Internet is serious business in Korea, and I do not mean it in a sarcastic/ironic way. If nothing is done, it spins very fast out of control. There have even been incidents of suicide because of cruel comments from the Korean netizens, which just escalated out of proportion.

Doesn't make posting those pictures and other things to defame eve acceptable.

It has everything to do with the matter, if SlayerS had recruited someone like Nestea no one would've post 'lol shes gold league what a nub'. Its because SlayerS decided to get a female player just for the looks that's a problem.

There is a significant difference between being livid and thinking its justifiable to bring charges against someone else for, essentially, making you mad.

Thanks for the clarification! People in this thread really need to consider: If you had a daughter, or a very close friend who was being defamed with photoshopped images, I'm sure, like someone else mentioned, that you'd be pissed as hell and wouldn't just go ,"lol, haters gonna hate" or brush it off as trolls being trolls. I think a little empathy here would go a long way in understanding all of this.

Not really a clarification considering that it's at odds with a lot of the facts presented in the OP. It seems like the line being voiced by Slayers fans is different from that being said on online forums. Whodda thunk.

Take the worst to the police, I can agree to that, but she seems to be on a TotalBiscuit rage here and just wants to argue for the sake of arguing.
Arguing with people who don't agree with SlayerS choices is just stupid, I don't know what to think of the recruitment, I love the idea of more woman in eSports and we need so many that every time a new one comes it is no longer a warrent for this shitstorm of caring we're having, but neither do I want a human being getting a freeride for being born different than me. If she performs ok sometime I'll be content, SlayerS wightnnn',
But Jessica is abit overboard I think. I don't have the full story though, and being a girl in esports is fucking hard, my girlfriend works with it here in Sweden and even the "good" guys are sometimes the biggest assholes... so I understand her being fed up with it.
EDIT: Reading what she said kind of confirms what I was thinking. Once again she might be overboard or not but as a Team manager I'd also be fucking rabid against anyone trying to hurt my team or teammates. I think she's doing the right thing in that and I support it. Very few woman hang around the internet enough to not get sad when they're harassed, heck most of us guys feel sad when we're harassed but we try to make it look like nobody cares because 4chan taught us that showing emotions is gay and "u mad". So I understand that Eve is feeling bad with all the negative shit.
But someone, show her the fanpage she got in the fanpage forum! Most people are either happy or neutral about her so they shouldn't blow the negative assholes opinions out of proportion.

She is a gold player who got invited because of her looks. Did you seriously expect people to sit quiet?
If she was a guy, none would care, people on team liquid would actually protest against her too. You just giving her special treatment, grow some thicker skin please. If you want to sue everyone who defaces people on the internet, expect to see all of humanity in jail.

people do stupid stuff everyday cause they are mad, people kill each other everyday cause they are mad at each other. nations go to war cause of being mad at each other and kill each other
WHAT THE HELL IS THE DIFFERENCE if one person who is mad cause of bunch of assholes on the Internet act retarded
Asian cultures have a different perspective on ALOT of things western nations take for granted
telling her to ignore people who write about raping and assaulting is stupid and there is something seriously wrong with you
