I don't think Gretorp is good enough to transfer back without a large amount of risk. He just hasn't had enough results to make a case for him as a leading pro. He just left Fanatic also so really the die has already been cast.
Incontrol on the other hand seems like he is going back to his roots because that is what made him popular and this is the only window where he could stage a legitimate comeback. Sure people can become personalities like Day9 but it is riskier because there is no fallback if you fail as a caster. If Incontrol tries really hard and just can't seem to make anything happen he can ride his caster pedigree to more opportunities.
Basically it just seems like Incontrol is doing the safest thing possible by maintaining his important reputation as a respectable pro. Not only can he go back to casting but he can continue coaching and putting out this content for other SC2 sites(dare I say fall-by-night operations).

I relayed what was relayed to me.. the intention/promise for 3 seasons and 400k$
If that doesn't happen (I have no reason to believe it won't) you can blame me if you like... just like you can blame the "can you hear me now?" guy if verizon goes back on one of it's promises. I was told a message and to promote something so I did.
I think it would be silly of any one to blame you "100%" if Seasons 2 or 3 did not happen or players didn't get paid. But, as part of the team you should probably accept a portion of the blame.
thanks for standing up and answering.
1 reason so many teamliquid posters can be so critical is that they are all Blizzard customers. This group of consumers is accustomed to very high quality and impeccable integrity. And even with all that Blizzard delivers they are still hyper-critical of every move Blizzard makes. anyone servicing this group of consumers must be prepared for sky high expectations.
This pretty much puts to a close all the questions I had.
The one thing they should change for season 2 is just cast from replays. This way players can play at reasonable times, which means they can play at their best and not tired, which in turn leads to better games. After watching season 1, I can't think of 1 benefit casting a tape delayed live broadcast had over just casting from replays. If it's not going to be broadcasted live then there's 0 difference from using replays to the viewers.
In fact it would probably help greatly with all the scheduling conflicts and editing problems that happened with games being edited to be shown out of order and then spoilers happening.
All the players can play the day before, then the regular casters can come in the next day and cast 9am-5pm or whatever time they do and cast the replays in the order they want. Then they can still take a day or two to do post editing like before.
Doing a live tape delayed cast seemed to cause more headaches and problems with absolutely zero benefit to viewers over replays.
The idea of NASL is great, it's just season 1 failed in the execution of it. Like NASL had better games due to the quality of players than IPL, but IPL got the better reviews because of their production values.

They might even play on the bnet realm they like. :D
As much as i will miss his casting in the NASL, this is for the best imo, he is first and foremost a player, and im glad he has decided to focus on his priority, i cant wait to watch him play as a fully dedicated protoss progamer
He was one of the very few reasons I watched the NASL. I think it's a bad decision on his part to focus on playing more since he's already very far behind the pros, but good luck to him.

He's done consistently well in MLGs and finished 4-5 in the nasl with a schedule that didn't allow for a lot of practice time. How the hell is he too far behind the pros lol

I don't think I'd ever watch the nasl with sound on if they hired Husky ~_~

I'm really sad that the only reason I still don't have a ticket is because of the casters. I'd love to see some play-by-play caster like hd, husky, tb, etc with a different pro player each week!

I've just never really seen him do anything impressive that's all. Maybe I just missed his good games

Incontrol is probably very far behind the pros. Hopefully he can practice more now and catch up. Practice time is everything.

Yeah, troll as much as you want, but Husky would probably decline since he'd make a lot more money on his Youtube videos.
