Wow,

I wish you the best of luck, Incontrol.

You're one of my fav players, so hopefully you'll reach the top level of play

Good luck in the future

Shame I enjoyed seeing him as a caster. Its a fair enough response though, as NASL limited him to going to many international events and he wants to become a top tier player again.

He best become the best NA Protoss now >:D. Best of luck Incontrol!

Umm... what? How exactly is this nice? Not saying it's bad, but I have absolutely no idea what you mean.

Well, obviously Incontrol has a great potential of a competitive gamer,
managing to place as high as he did in the MLG with as little practise as he gets with the NASL.
So devoting more time into practise than casting,
he's become a serious contender, next time Koreans come over to grab the prize money. ^^"

Not sure why "nice" is warn-worthy, though.

i enjoyed incontrol as a caster. as he was on SoTG, really funny guy who made NASL quite fun to watch.

hopefully freeing up time by leaving SOTG and casting NASL will improve his performance in tournaments and give him the practice time he needs

on another note, i hope they get Gretorp some help though. He casted 25 games per week for the duration of NASL. that's pretty insane. hopefully season 2 will give him some days off lol.

I truly appreciate all the words of support guys.. means a lot.

A lot have speculated on my decision to leave and talked about how I am giving up something I am better at (commentating or being a public persona etc) and I fully understand those perspectives. I haven't won any major tourneys and while I have had decent showings and done fairly well in other events (Cw's, ladder, online tourneys etc..) none of it is top-notch. I want to be top-notch. I am happiest when I am playing better and better. I love being a leader and speaking to people on large platforms but that is not my guiding light.. playing at the highest level is.

When I move into the house with IdrA/Machine/iNkA and then move into the EG house roughly in August (Maybe July) I will be going there to commit myself to be the best player I can be. That means I will train harder and more than I ever have. I will utilize my team and friends like I have only when I stayed in korea for a week with IdrA (Where I nearly doubled in skill). Anna will move in with us as well and really jump-start her eSports career by hosting content, helping manage our team and doing other entrepreneurial activities.

I will still do Inside the Game. I will still be a guest on SOTG and various other shows like TL Attack and Kings of Tin. I will still have an opinion and I will still strive to grow and improve this community. I will simply have more time to do those things WHILE spending more time than ever focusing my time and energy on becoming the best I can.

I want to commentate in the future as I enjoy it and think I can contribute there as well. But living in Ontario and being relied on to cast every day for 7 or more hours is a LOT to ask.. especially given my true desire to be a top level player.

I will have 3 weeks to train hard core for MLG Anaheim. After that, every MLG will be a target. NASL season 2 (as a player) will be a target. And my dream of going to the EU will become true.. but I will go as the best iNcontroL I can possibly go as! And I hope everyone can get on board with that!

You are the man, I hope to see you in fighting form at future events. Keep on truckin'!

You seriously could not have said this any better. You addressed every issue, and have made everyone know why you are doing this. Geoff, I fully support your decision and I wish you great luck on future tournaments!

Woah. That is... well unexpected. I thought Incontroll was going to go the painuser route. Might be ego thinking here? He was a good commentator. Probably better than he'll ever be a player ( no slight just relative skill levels relative to competition [MC v Total biscuit])

Sounds serious. I expect an amazing result in the future.

Hwaiting.

good his casting was so subpar, one time he actually said "Im actually pretty excited about this one"

uhhh shouldnt you be excited for all the games? Considering you started the league?

Once they get some real casters that just act as if they are intrested in the games I may go back to watching it but until than ill just glance through the results. Idk why they even have anyone cast it its so bland and boring at times, but than again I just may be spoiled by tasteosis....oh wait no because IPL casting was fine as was HSC, and they could hardly speak english..

I hope you flop hard Incontrol, maybe change your pompous "headier than thou" attitude, but doubt thatll happen. Btw you wouldnt stand a chance at any international tourny

nasl provides several games that could be "tournament finals" 5 nights a week. I love NASL. I hope they find someone who knows as much about the game as incontrol does.

imo this is good, you can definitely see how the performance of most of the players who do a lot of casting and or community work suffers. incontrol is a good caster, but i want to see him play awesome SC2 games.

He is a funny guy and he would do great as an e sports personality like day9, too bad. Pretty sure he left to focus more on progaming. He left SoTG for the same reason

I understand that casting and playing are both full time endeavors in their own right. Inc, best of luck as a player. Still, though, I am going to really miss your casting; you had a real tallent for calling games.
