Hey TL, we're back again and we brought some friends with us this time around!! Ever since we released "Fly Like Aiur" almost 3 months ago and more recently"On Yo' Creep", we've gotten a lot of requests for a Zerg song... so we figured that we'd pull out all the stops and team up with some other really talented people in the community, namely:
I was abit on the fence with on yo creep and the one before that, but I thought this one was quite good and I normally hate stuff like this :D. Nice work, props to TempOStarcraft, stan will always be #1 in my book !~

Just me or does anyone else think Anna sounds a bit like Shakira? No lines to match drippy droppies in awesomeness, but i still really enjoyed it :D. Good job!
Not to be overly critical, but the chicks singing was on point. The dude rapping however sounded like he was having a hard time staying in rhythm with the beat eg, stretching words out to fill in the space of bars, prolonged pauses between lines, rushing to finish the couplet so it doesn't sound off rhythm with the next beat etc. I'm not saying to turn into Big Pun with multi-syllabic rhyming but just some constructive critique.
Why is every kick hit is clipping like mad, or whatever sample they are using just has some crunch to it. (which sound pretty bad) It also sounds like it has a pretty good chuck eq'd out of the low-mids, maybe even the top part of the lows, which kid of killed any sort of punch. .
Who mixed/mastered this? : (
The vocals where pretty good, depending on how much pitch correction was used. Although the rapping seemed half-heated. (I am a big fan of underground/indi rap which has bucket loads of feeling and meaning in the flow, though.) which is pretty disappointing.
But, parody songs are usually pretty shallow and pandering to the audience, which could be said about a lot of music though.
I'm an audio engineer by trade, so all these things come flying at me regardless of its origin. : /
But the clipping, especially around the middle is really nasty. I'd hope the paid HD version isn't that bad.
Anna has pretty amazing vocals, the guys rapping were ok...
Upping the video quality to Hd, regardless of an increase of bit rate or sample rate, will *not* fix any clipping issues. In fact, it will make it slightly worse, as there would be more data to clip!

Nice song, but something really needs be done about that distortion?(not good with music terms) I thought it was my speakers but its not, sounds like it got recorded a bit louder than it should've or something.
It's funny how this song was so panned in the NASL playoffs day 5 LR thread - probably cause we were so eager for the next game instead of some repeated interlude.
Cool song! =) The only complaint I have is that at some points the lyrics are a bit shaky, but overall they are very good. Also, the singing is very good, Anna really has a lot of talent.
it's kinda lol but its just like all the WoW videos of the same vein. cheesy and forgettable.
Edit: I can't believe I"m the only person out of 6 pages that didn't get down on their knees and propose to this video. Either i'm extremely cynical or you all have lower standards.

I don't understand what you'd expect from a community crafted creation,(which by the way we love and appreciate as fans of StarCraft, not of the music it's self) but perhaps you could come up with something better since you've been very critical and obviously are much more talented.

I don't think they are trying to make history here... And if you are the same person I think I've read post of before, yes, you are extremely cynical.

Yea, if you can't do something way better yourself you have no right what so ever to be critical at all. It's amazing how common this attitude is.

You're not alone. These SC2 parody songs aren't funny at all, and I don't understand why everybody seems to like them so much.

Maybe because people who don't like them don't listen to them and post in the threads that support them >.< Personally I'm just happy for the passion showed for the game, and the community around it.
Parodies don't need to be funny.. They go with something serious that you wouldn't mind popping up on your playlist sometimes while you're laddering. Successful.

why do parody songs need to be funny?(ok the definition of parody) but why not just call them remakes or something? They're songs that you can listen to that are about a subject that i like...whats wrong with that. Sorry they arent as funny as on a boat *rolls eyes*

I love it how I was honest about what I thought and for that I was mocked. That's some classy shit right there.
I didn't actually say the video was bad and the woman singing was pretty talented imo.
Although it was amusing to see this thread bumped again and find myself quoted as if I was killing esports.

The video had a lot of work put into it, and it's pretty unique, so just enjoy the video even if you don't like it,

Then why didn't you just not post in the first place? (Or say those nice things in your original reply instead of just bashing it with a one-liner. TL has a notorious hatred for 1liner bashing, after all.)
Pretty neat mashup of rap and good lyrics. The ultralisk dance squad had me giggle. Funny + good singing = mission accomplished!

You know why? Because the other people that didn't like it don't feel the need to make a post about it and also insultling the ones that do in suggesting the have "lower standards" like your opinion is the one to behold...
Then you make another post painting yourself like you are some kind of victim. Go cry somewhere else, you are nothing special.
Kinda ironic I was just tryin to write a tune having been inspired by a quote in the SCB and I see this. IT seems to me any song about SC2 is going to be 1. inherently comedy-based 2. a parody. I think this song is great but you guys really need to do an SC2 song that is a completely original work, judging from your listed talent pool on the site it's not exactly a hard task. At the end of the day parodies and remixing others tunes is funny but It feels like there's a lot more talent to be exposed.

It's definitely good, but honestly I feel conflicted here because Kanye's verse on the real song is fire and I feel any changes or parodies are disrespectful, especially when they're pro zerg.
Wow I think I could listen to Anna sing all day. She has such an amazing voice. Gonna have to see if there are any more vids of her singing online lol.
Great parody as well. To be expected though, you guys rock!

I haven't played through every campaign but i know the story of starcraft
but I don't care about some song about kerrigan or how the swarm works.
All cool parodies are about how much they love the game or the famous players or about the competitive aspects. It just feels like filler to make a joke about something in the story because that isn't something i care about

Oh i'm sorry. You must have missed the vid posted of her doing Karaoke and singing just fine on her own. No autotune needed. Please don't call out someones singing just because you're jealous or like to troll.
edit: here i even whent back to the page and found it for you. + Show Spoiler +

Autotune does exactly what it's named after. It makes you sing in tune. It cannot make you sing if you cannot sing. (and believe me, being a producer and also a very bad singer, i tried)
Well there are some points at the male vocals that make no real sense, but overall a great, great production!!
And WOAH... Anna has an a-m-a-z-i-n-g, deep, smooth voice. Totally did not expect that! Bravo to all who made this. That's the kind of little things that add up for the community
Just saw it on the twitter of Anna that this song is out. Awsome voice. Though i found the rap lyrics sometimes abit strange but hey! its a cool and catchy song after all goodjob.

For a parody it wasn't really funny, but quite a good production and the singing was actually better than I thought it was gonna be. It does sound a bit "made" though, the emotion is kinda lacking from the overall song and lyrics I guess.
I haven't actually liked a lot of Underline ENT's stuff… but man, this song is SOOO GOOD! Anna's voice really, really makes this song. Her part is pretty much why I like this song. The guys are soso, and the lyrics are pretty witty, but Anna's voice is great.
