Be meek and don't challenge the things you love! e sports is not someones bottom line. we, the viewers are just as much a part of esports as any tournament and GOMtv english stream is just one small part of the whole. One small part that I'm thinking is trying to screw us. | ||

I'll see how I feel once I have time to watch SC2 again to see if I drop the $25 (I have bought every GSL season possible until now). With so many other leagues coming out, many with 480p or better for free, paying for GSL is becoming harder to justify when there are free alternatives. It's still the best of the best for now, so I guess it's still a monopoly, but their hold is weakening quickly. | ||

Also compressing six days of GSL into three days will either mean a ton of extra work for the casters each day or not broadcasting some games (unless I don't understand the schedule so the GSL may feel expensive too if it stays at $10. The schedle pics say : Code S will remain unchanged (2 group a day for group stage, 2 days for RO16, 2days for RO8, one days for RO4 and one for the final). Code A will be severely cut down and they will do : - one day for RO32 (instead of 4) - one day for RO16 (instead of 2) - rest unchanged So we will "lose" (or they will compres) 4 days of code A from ro32/ro16 (or they will pack it but i don't realy see how that would be possible). Not the greatest lost i might say. new price for gstl seem realy expensive at first, but with the number of game it seem pretty fair | ||

Weeks 1-5 Thursday: 1 Venus Group Match Friday: 2 Jupiter Group Matches Weeks 6-10 Thursday: 2 Venus Group Matches Friday: 1 Jupiter Group Matches GSTL Season 1 has 30x Bo7 matches = 120-210 games. Plus 5 playoff days. GSL Super tournament had 56x Bo3, 6x Bo5, 1x Bo7 matches = 134-205 games. Considering that most offerings have been $10/$20 GSL or $5/$10 GSTL, I find it odd that it would be $25/$40 instead of $20/$40. If the live HD stream was upped to 720p to match the VODs I could understand $25 or $30. | ||

Good thing I made some good cash the past few months. Kinda regret paying for the NASL ticket though. Hardly watch it and have been disappointed by a lot of it including the VOD quality. At least with the GSL, I seldom get problems with the VODs. | ||
