What exactly is mouse acceleration?
And maybe this isn't the right place to ask, but... I've often wondered about how well I use my mouse (mainly for micro) and whether I need to turn my mouse sensitivity up or down or keep it where it is, and occasionally I changed it but I never can tell whether the change improved anything. How would I figure this out?
It's exactly what its name is. Depending on how hard or soft you thrust your mouse, accelerations on a mouse react to that speed. I can move my mouse only an inch, but if you thrust it hard enough in that inch, it'll send your cursor across your screen. As a mac user, I've had it integrated and I'm native to accelerations. Recently downloaded a program to disable it, as it's a lot better for your game. Anyways, the general acceptance for sensitivity is 51-54 and a 6-8 on your windows bar.
