If a Terran player sees a Protoss go for a nexus-first, his primary strategy should not be a long macro-game, it should be to kill the Protoss immediately because he has sniffed out a major vulnerability. July is similarly great at playing a macro game until he sees a key weakness and then going all-out until the opponent is dead. July is a Golden Mouse winner from BW and clearly has the ability to rock long macro games, as he did in his first victory against MVP in their Ro32 group earlier in the year (Jan GSL?). His game against HuK last month was a clinic on how to use positional play in SC2 on Crossfire-- every time HuK moved out, July's ling/roach force moved in to counter HuK's natural, then withdrew as he came back home, creating a stalemate that let July macro up and eventually roll HuK over. He may go for aggression, but notice that he wins with it..

You use last night's match as your only evidence, but in that exact same set July went to 5 bases and won... come on dude.

GSL kind of messed up there imo, and MLG should have insisted atleast to sen a Terran to replace bomber... Yea gsl totally messed up there... wait what?

You realize protoss are in the tournament? They kinda have to beat toss too...

The only good point people are making is for example Tyler situation, where he was the only protoss in the group and was going to have 2 PvZ and 2 PvT, ofc he practiced for PvP too for the matches after the group phase but not as much as the other matchups, and now he was MC there, so its kinda bad for him.

Sure, every good player wouldn't mind if specific players they fear weren't there I'd think - with so much money on the line - but really, for us spectators, this is great.

edit: damn that group is even more disgusting than before. I think I just want to watch that group... and nothing else. God I hope MLG knows what they've done. They better be prepared because it's going to be TSL+ numbers for any televised match of MC.
