Except that MC should consider himself lucky just to get such an invitation. It's not the same thing at all.

MC has not practiced at all for his group and is putting a large amount of money on the table in the form of travel expenses and time with the very real possibility of losing and in the end actually being down money. He really can prepare for any of his opponents directly, while the normal group has only 1 wild card to deal with. Hes good, but MLG is a unique environment and his opponents shouldn't be dismissed off the cuff.

Kinda of sad that the two players I'd expect to see in the finals meet in the first round now.

As a Zerg, I'll backing IdrA to beat MC then take the whole tournament.

Do you realize he gets the chance to compete in MLG for free?

Is it me or I'm really dislike July's play style. I mean last night he won the clash of titan houses semi and final against San and Taeja with banelings bust. He can't macro in long game vs other players, so he just cheese

July plays the game properly. If a Terran player sees a Protoss go for a nexus-first, his primary strategy should not be a long macro-game, it should be to kill the Protoss immediately because he has sniffed out a major vulnerability. July is similarly great at playing a macro game until he sees a key weakness and then going all-out until the opponent is dead.

July is a Golden Mouse winner from BW and clearly has the ability to rock long macro games, as he did in his first victory against MVP in their Ro32 group earlier in the year (Jan GSL?). His game against HuK last month was a clinic on how to use positional play in SC2 on Crossfire-- every time HuK moved out, July's ling/roach force moved in to counter HuK's natural, then withdrew as he came back home, creating a stalemate that let July macro up and eventually roll HuK over.

He may go for aggression, but notice that he wins with it..

You realize July baneling busted MVP twice in their Ro32 group stage matches right?........

Sees an opening, goes for the kill.
I fail to see the problem.
Its not that all we seen from him is cheesy builds so its fine.

well don't whine about when toss and terran go 1-2 bases all-in or cheese ok
All the qq came from Zerg, not P. I said I dislike it b/c it's the easiest bust all-in ever. And he did it everytime he see no chance to win in normal game, so he had to do it.

Very disappointed, and I'm relieve I opted not to buy my plane ticket at the last minute. Was looking to Bomber more than anything else, but MC is a great player and the games will be good.

Hmm, since they placed the Korean players into groups based on their GSL ranking (with Losira having the highest ranking in that group), shouldn't MC take Losira's spot in Group D and vice versa, since I'm pretty sure MC has a much higher ranking than Losira.

That way, they can be consistent with their rankings, and it would be fair, since I would consider MC to be the strongest Korean, while pool D consists of people who ranked 4 and below in the last MLG.

MLG is paying for his expenses. Since he is out of the GSL he really doesn't have anything except reputation on the line.
