Yes he is.
Eh. Maybe 3 months ago. Watching Idra, it really seems like he's vastly improved himself over the last few months, while many of the korean zergs are kind of stagnating.
While he probably isn't better, saying he's "Much worse" is definitely not true.
Have you seen Nestea play recently? The gap now is bigger than it's ever been.
Ya pretty much, I don't even think Idra would do well in Code A anymore, and seeing him get completely outplayed in every possible way in two long macro games (one of which Zenio got off to an awful start) did nothing to change my opinion on that.
Idra is just an average player that refuses to change his strategies and they have become outdated and stale nowadays
He credited his loss to Zenio due to him not knowing the metagame which pretty much tells us everything we need to know. He left Korea and is slowly falling behind.
KR protoss are falling behind as well compared to EU and CN protoss =)
But yeah. It's unfair to even compare IdrA and KR zergs anymore. Practicing with EG and shitty NA ladder is not the same as practicin with IM or oGs or KR ladder =/
And MC has won so many PvP's versus non Koreans. Ace recently beat Hasu Obs and Squirtle is like 6-1 in his NASL group and that's all with the lag nevermind in a LAN.

I dont see how the non koreans stand a chance against koreans without lag in their game

Tbf they weren't winning before MC decided to come, players like Select, Naniwa, MMA, July, Losira are just too strong. I think most people would say only Idra has a chance and maybe Kiwikaki.
SeleCT is considered American.
He's not American. He was born in Korea, spent most of his life in Korea, I'm guessing owns a Korean and not American Passport. He's no more Korean than TLO is Swedish or Jinro is Korean, where you live does not define your nationality.
Lmao. I'm Korean, born in Korea but have been living in the United States. I consider myself to be American. We weren't talking about nationalities it was whether an American will win the MLG. SeleCT fits that category.
SeleCT has lived in the US a few years max, not most of his life. He's Korean and speaks broken English with a Korean accent, I can't believe this is up for debate.

Inca is better than both at PvP.
May be true in Korea, but Inca's yet to prove himself internationally. + Show Spoiler +
He recently lost to Cruncher 2-0 in the FXO Invitational.
His record in Korea is phenomenal, but Naniwa and MC have played (and had great success) in several international events. Until Inca has foreign success, I'll have to rank Naniwa and MC at the top. I wish there was a North American standout Protoss, but until then I'm thankful that the best are at least coming here to play .
Naniwa hasn't proven himself in Korea.
MC is the only Protoss (or in fact player) to win major Korean and International trophies.

Yeah it's actually funny that so many people consider him American but at the same time nobody considers qxc Spanish or Jinro Korean
I think many people include Jinro and Huk when they say "Koreans" as in Korea based players. I have no problem with people calling Select a NA player. That doesn't mean he's a citizen though only the geographical location he's playing from.
America is full of mixed ethnic. Just like Goku came from another planet or piccolo was from the planet namek, they will always defend earth because its their home...

Select is not an American who is ethnically Korean, he is a proper Korean who is studying in America for a few years having lived in Korea almost his entire life. He's not a citizen and he doesn't have fluent English, he's not American, it's simple.

Gotta hand it to MC, he does travel alot to play in the EU+US. Pretty cool guy. Even though I was looking forward to see Bomber, as there has been a bit of hype around him, its still nice to see that MC going instead.

He is however a movingly fluent speaker of the universal language of karaoke.
Oooh, I'm gonna place my bet on MC this time. He's a bi-winner, wins one, loses one, wins one etc. And seeing how he got stomped in the Super Tournament, he's all set to rip out some nerd hearts!

Very true. What I was trying to argue was that Naniwa has performed well against a wide variety of opponents from different servers in tournaments, which I believe is important considering how vastly different play styles can be.
