One minute he's the best SC2 player without question, next he's being knocked out of groups or rnd64 by someone way below his skill level. Calling Alicia below his skill level is debatable. He's now taken a win off of Nestea (in team league), a series off of MVP in updown matches and now a series off of MC. 62% winrate in every bracket, I wouldn't say Alicia is that far behind.

Double expand vs 4 gate...that's how he beat NesTea...srsly even a bronze would beat a masters if they go for double expand against 4 gate.

You do realise the 4gate occurred because alicia scouted the double expand? Anyhow, I'm not going to argue further because it's pointless and I don't wanna get sucked in ><

It seems like he's slumping because he had such a great record. Same thing with Naniwa, he had a crazy win streak and as soon as he loses a few games it appears he is slumping... Same thing happened to Jaedong.

This has been pretty unfair from the beginning, but there's no way MLG will pay for MC to come over in the last minute and then ruin their big IdrA vs Korean invite day one opening by putting him in the open.

The point is somewhat valid; but the reality of any weekend tournament is that you *will* play a lot of games against opponents you haven't prepared for, so you need to cover off all the matchups. The group players are still in a better situation than the open bracket, which is basically a gigantic series of unknown matches from start to finish ![]() in this example, If Tyler didn't prepare to play PvP then he could be knocked out as soon as he left his group anyway....
