When a Baneling dies the Units Lost tab only increases by 50 resources instead of 75. It doesn't record a Zergling transforming into a Baneling either.
I was reminded of this when I watched a replay against a Zerg where the Zerg spent 10+k on their army but the units lost tab recorded 6k and the Zerg had a standing army of 1.5k.

interesting. I would also be interested to see if it counts broodlords or overseers as just their upgrade cost as well, or if it includes the full unit then.
I can also see why this has never been caught, it's not a stat that gives a lot of meaning behind it when you look at it.

Nice, thanks for pointing this out :D

I've seen some weird stuff in there too. Sold bunkers count as units lost I think... I've had a couple of games where the units lost tab starts climbing before any units have been killed.

Buildings canceled while being built also shows up as losing 100% of the resources :s

Well this changes everything.

yeah, replay tabs are not without errors and this is not the 1st, thanks for pointing it out, hope they fix it

they should make zergling->baneling = 25 minerals loss baneling dies = 25 mineral + 25 gas loss
|
you should probably post this on the Bnet forums/report a bug, if they have a facility to do that there.
but good job putting some effort into your post rather then just a "banelings dont hav ethe right units lost cost" one liner.

I did.....4 months ago.
They don't care.

What he means is, if at the end of the game there's still 100 banelings alive, the units lost tab would've counted 2500 extra minerals lost for zerg. Banelings are technically worth 50/25.

Wow... that's a pretty bad miss by Blizzard, perhaps they should hire some new testers!
They need to fix this so we really know just how cost inefficient constant Baneling attacks really are
