They did a great job on that, I always had it in the back of my mind that P was like the techno or trance addict race lol futuristic and slow/relaxed ^^. Thanks for that other one as well Hypatio thats a pretty sick track, they worked in the goon voice pretty good!

Sean Tyas - Banshee

There aren't any SC sounds in it, but the name was inspired by the terran unit, Sean Tyas himself said that in some radioshow.

I agree. I always had the feeling that high tech/futuristic stuff and (hard) trance belonged somewhat together. Im not quite sure why, propably because of those techy beats and melodies and those lasers you see at live events. I just love the conjunction of those two, Starcraft and trance^^

As a major house/progressive/trance nut and aspiring DJ, I can say the song in OP is legit! I was expecting some happy hardcore fluff. If only the song was 7+ minutes I'd use it one of my sets. The audience would never know what the quotes were from, and if they did there would be hugs all around

BTW I met Sean Tyas recently.. had no idea his song Banshee was based on the unit! Oh man, I shoulda given him a hug!

Unfortunately I cannot remember the title of my favorite SC-related song. It was an awesome trance track that was based around an SC1 Terran nuke. The chorus was "Go go go, lets move, fire it up, yes sir", and it had some awesome breakdowns around "nuclear launch detected". I'm pretty sure it wasn't on any official soundtracks.

I just spent an hour looking for it on youtube and google with no luck =( kinda hard to find it with all the lyrics being unit quotations. The only two starcraft techno nuclear launch songs I could find were meh.

ow what an awsome song, im a big fan of trance, dubstep, drumstep, base steo, and all types of musik like that and starcraft 2 is the greatest game ever. with that being said this song is the shit!

I've been a long time lurker of TL, but never bothered to post. But seeing my song posted in a thread, I felt like it was time to finally sign up hehe.

Much thanks for all the kind comments! I created this song back in summer 2010 when SC2 was just released, I was inspired by another hard trance song I heard that used brood war vocals (Zealot and Dragoon voice). Also thought the Stalker unit had the perfect voice to sample, I was originally going to use the Thor and make a cheesy happy hardcore song with it, but later decided the Stalker would be better for a much serious approach. :D

I got the full version of the song signed to the record label Fired Up Records and had it offically released in December! I'd post a link where everyone can purchase it, but I wouldn't want to have shameless self advertisement in my first post hehe.
