TB made it pretty clear before that he earns nearl nothing from his SCII related stuff compared to everything else he does. As far as I'm aware TB actually enjoys the game as a spot, although he doesn't like playing it...which is understandable. You can enjoy football and be a HUGE fan without going in the back yard and tossing a ball around.

it's not TB
his job is providing content to his YT viewers/subscribers. SC2 casting is something he does in addition to that because he likes it. If TB stopped casting SC2, he'd still be doing ok monetarily because SC2 casting is not his job.

You do know everytime TB does something in starcraft he loses money right? He could make alot more money if he just concentrated on his youtupe channel.

I didn't know that, actually. I just knew that he isn't really a Starcraft guy, yet does a lot of Starcraft events. Props to him for crossing out of his comfort zone and getting it done for the good of esports generally.

it still helps him though, a lot of people work for no money to gain credibility in a field and to reap rewards (financial and otherwise) in the future, I'm not saying he isn't doing a good thing but don't make him out to be some jesus figure, the guy is looking out for himself the same as anyone in a field/sport, particularly a new/burgeoning one - TB is willing to trade some cash now for a better position within the community as that better position in the community will allow him more chance of money in the future and better opportunity than those who aren't/can't work for at a loss atm

Actually, global play is so important for casuals. I don't have several copies as they are expensive, so I cannot play with my friends on different continents

Not really. I'll drop SC2 as soon as it stops being fun to do. The SC2 scene is never going to be as profitable as covering a variety of different games. That's the nature of a passion project, if you "lose your passion" then it's not worth doing anymore, not to mention I wouldn't want my business and it's future tied to a single game.
