If you trust this source: http://starcraftlictor.com/heart-of-the-swarm-starcraft-2-expansion/ (and I don't know where they got their information, so don't rely on it) they state that an estimated price is $30. They also note: "Blizzard said that despite the amount of work on the campaigns, the company still views them as expansions, not additional games." Hopefully this can clear up some speculation as to whether HotS will be as expensive as the original game.

They said that if they were offering a new game with 3 entirely new races to go with it, then they would price it as an original game, but seeing as they have already done a vast amount of work creating the game for WoL, the effort put into HotS is not comparable, and so will be on sale for the price of an expansion. What that means exactly is unclear, but I doubt that people will be paying $60/€60/£40 for HotS. I think I've read that as well. I agree with HotS being priced as an expansion. I have some questions though, will HotS have a seperate ladder and servers? What I am asking is wether you will be still able to play WoL against other people that own only WoL? I am without doubt going to buy HotS, but I am just wondering about that.

Probably, this is how ladder works on SC Vanilla vs BW and Frozen Throne vs WC3.

NesTea is by far shown to be the absolute top Zerg in the world right now... or what about idra?

Nestea would require a translater 24/7.. idrA has talked more smack on Blizzard than any progamer out there tbh ;-) - Besides, I don't think Blizzard would want idrA come in and do balance testing when he's got a youtube-show dedicated to how unbalanced Blizzards game is.. Good approach/bad approach to testing I like Sen, I think it's awesome that he was chosen! Protoss-users of Forcefields... Beware

Sen hasn't proved that many GOSU placements.. but sure he's definitely a pro. And why wouldn't blizz want Idra to comment on balance? Yes he is dedicated to showing blizzard how unbalanced the game is, is that a bad thing? They might.. you know... even listen to him for suggestions. Idra can be pretty biased.. but who isn't tbh? Idra has made some pretty valid points just in terms of pure balance before, and sometimes he goes off on a tangent. What about inviting Day[9] then ? They have a perfect relationship with him.. even hiring and giving him spotlight on battle.net websites... and he knows almost everything about the games balance and analystics, mechanics etc.. I would rather see Day[9] ![]()

IdrA is TOO biased, its not like normal bias, it is TOTAL bias. As long as HE, and only HE wins, the game is fine. And that's the problem. Day[9] must/would be too busy, and even though I do believe he is trustworthy, someone who speaks with thousands of people every day through dailies might end up slipping something, unknowingly. And Blizzard is deadly serious when hiding information about the games they want to release - hell, you HAVE to be at Irvine, CA to actually test the games. IncontroL is too busy with NASL atm. And seriously, why not Sen? He is an excellent player and deserves to see it.

Why they chose him ![]() I don't think DAy9 would ever let anything slip out, he is an intelligent man. He knows his game, and he has a lot of sparetime now, devoted to sc2. So I don't see any reason why something like his wouldn't immediately be in his interest. ![]()

Sen is one of the players least likely to be haruanged about what he has learned, whereas if Blizzard told the whole world that, say, Day[9] or iNcontroL was doing the testing everyone would pressure them into spilling the beans. It is easier for everyone involved. Not only that, the announcement about Sen was a while ago. It is quite possible that Blizzard have hired more people now. After all, why would you make a whole announcement just to say that X pro player is testing HotS?

Blizzard is definitely smart enough to hire people that are required instead of just friends when needed.
