Okay... a bit of a disclaimer... i'm totally wasted (as per the usual.. i like to drink and watch NASL.
I'm not much of an idra fan.. but i think he is an awesome caster. I hope you have him on more often... and dont censor him.. let him be himself
Also.. I have a premium package. If you are going to make me wait a bunch of time in between matches wtih that countdown timer thing, you might as well have me watch adervtisements. I dont really care about what you say in between the matcehs.... i usually go pee anyways... and I dont care about the early game or scouting patterns of the players. Perhaps you should consider having premium people have ad's during the time that nothign is happening (in between games).. and then you can run extra advertisements in the beginning of games (when the players are building their first 3 workers) for the non-premium customers.
The premium package stil offers the HD.. which is what most people care about. if u did what i just suggested, i would still purchase premium for next season
one thing tho.. your stream lags like a bitch.. i duno why because i watch other people stream on justintv all the time. perhaps it is because there are so many viewers?
i use the popout box and stuff.. iono.. anyways im passing out
thanks for producing the nasl.. it is a spectacular waste of time! :D

Tuned into the NASL tonight to see IdrA. I figured by now the NASL would've solved most of their initial problems, as I had heard it's gotten better. Sadly, I was mistaken, and while I appreciated the opportunity to learn from IdrA, the poor production quality just drives me nuts.
Honestly, I would buy the pass, if they'd spend my $25 to send Gretorp to a dialect coach for an hour to work on his EXSHHHHTREMELY poor speech.

Am I the only one still getting getting audio from one channel only?

That would be stupid because non-premium customers wouldn't be aware if a 6 pool is happening. (example)

Ask for permission to use broodwar music in the background to add a little bit of variety to the broadcast.
I would say gretorp still needs a bit of work on his casting but it doesnt bother me because hes aware of it and practices his heart out and will get better in time (:

advertisement would be over before pool is finished. they would not miss any action
edit: also.. nasl owes nothing to customers who are not paying

And a company that can afford that kind of prizepool probably don't need the 30 bucks/add that they would get from running commercials.
|
Ok, we're five weeks in and the VODs are still being posted with the first 15 minutes of a game missing. This is a huge problem and needs to be resolved.

The casters are the #1 problem in my opinion. Everything incontrol and gretorp say feels fake to me. I liked Incontrols casting before he started with NASL, now it just feels like he is trying really hard because it is important.
They should try really casting from the heart, and if it still bad after that, they should consider hiring some other (better) casters
|
Can you please announce in public when you know that one game is postponed?
It's so bad to stay awake to watch a certain game and then it's not be broadcasted.
|
Every other cast, don't use the word scale at all.
|
nice countdown, but scrollspeed for "coming up next ..." is way too slow and music way too loud! :/
Idra casting is really nice. qualitiy stuff
|
It seems like I'm in a tiny minority here, but I don't understand why there's music at all during the games. If I want to hear music, I'd like to be able to put on something I like, rather than some crap chosen by someone else. I'm frankly baffled how or why anyone would see this differently, and yet everyone seems to clamor for more music, not less.
I also second the request to announce canceled matches in advance, and to remove all spoilers from the nasl site except in a "standings" section.

1. tell gretorp to stop saying "ruh roh" hes gotten much better since the rocky start though. 2. the mic breathing was ridiculous 3. guest casters are great
|
I am really serious when I say we need to get Gretorp (and to a lesser extent, iNcontroL) a thesaurus. Their overuse (and, often, complete misuse) of words, phrases and stock descriptions is borderline enraging. If you believe you have a prodigious vocabulary and feel confident enough to use these words during your professional life, please make sure they are actually being used correctly.
It's just really embarrassing.
I like NASL very much, the games have been fantastic. Having IdrA guestcast just reminded me how great it would be if they restructured their current booth with new/fresh/articulate casters.

I agree
And he NEEDS to stop saying PROBLEMATIC!
WOW Gretorp makes me angry more than any other starcraft commentator.

OP should be updated, strike through the ones they've fixed and add new ones if necessary.
