I'm not sure If I'm just misreading this or not, but they don't cast them off of VOD's. iNcontrol and Gretorp cast those matches live, we just don't get to watch it live. For instance Division 1 is played and casted on Mondays, but isn't streamed until Wednesdays. So there reactions are completely uninhibited from knowing the outcome of the match.

I never knew incontrols commentating a ton b4 NASL but I was under the impression he was funnier and more entertaining. I think a commentator mix up might not hurt doesnt seem like the 2 are doing good together

Think Moletrap and the Nukes: You will NEVER get that from casting VODs. NEVER. Not sure what exactly you are referring too but if you think the NASL isn't casted live then you are wrong. They cast the games live as they are happening and then take two days to edit it all together and stream it. I just wanted to first say that the quality of everything has improved drastically. The camera work in particular is impeccable, especially with the use of the HUD removal during big battles. It is just good to see little things like that being worked on because they make a big difference. On what needs to be improved, I would just say that I wish there was more stats or discussion of the previous matches each player has played at least in the league. I know it would be more work of course but it would be great if the night before each recording session the casters were given info sheets for each player and their previous matches. Specifically just a run down of how they have looked so far, close matches, overall record, and the build order they favor in each match up. I just feel like that would be a little extra work that could potentially tie people into the other weeks of the season and what is about to happen. Also when it comes to the pregame, I think the idea of showing big chunks of past footage is kind of offputting at least if you watch the NASL often. I know there have been some great moments but maybe they could just put together a highlight reel from the last weeks division and talk a little bit about it. Just to kind of mix in a little of what happened last week without boring the regulars. Thanks again, great production.

But there are still issues that need work. Most notably, sounds. Game sound levels need to be a little higher, and music quite a lot higher. See: GSL. That is all.

It's painful and I feel sorry for incontrol who has to think of something to respond with lol Do you think I'm an idiot? It's not whether or not I can decipher it as sarcasm, it's whether it's good for the cast. Trust me, I'm aware that most of gretorp's humor is very... questionable. I'd certainly react the same way incontrol does to much of it in real life - look at him, look away, look back, look at the camera like "Is this guy for real?" But it's terrible for the cast. Chemistry between casters is so crucial. They should be saving each other at every opportunity, not looking to create awkward silences, even if the intent is to ultimately be humorous. Additionally, NEVER talk about games being unexciting or being over. Talk about how dominating the winning player is instead. I know its a forum cliche but watch Tastosis and their chemistry. They don't do any of this stuff and there's a reason they are so highly regarded.

Obviously, one guy is responsible for interviewing, which is fine... but the other caster should not just sit there and completely ignore the interview in progress. Both Gretorp and incontrol do this. Even if one caster controls a given interview, I think the other caster should at least throw in one question or interact in some way. He shouldn't just look down at his monitor and ignore what's going on. It seems awkward and even somewhat rude (though I realize that is not the intention).

The matches and players NASL has are so solid, that if they found a crackin' commentating team and orgazined those effin' VODs, this thing would be a skyrocket to the moon.

I also wish they would stick to a standard for labeling videos, and that they would take out the long bit of filler before the pre-game show in the VODs or at least tell us how much time we need to skip. Since they had a partnership setup with Justin.tv, it would be nice to see something more than just a standard list of videos.

You want Tastosis, you KNOW they love the game itself, and having a blast casting it. Same with Day9, same with others to a lesser degree. It sounds like a job for these guys, and it just aint workin. Honestly, iNc and Gretorp get really hyped about the great games they cast (like Brat_Ok vs. Ace). The problem is the not so great games. It's like when Tasteosis had to cast Code A. They weren't excited at all. It's going to improve as the league develops.

InControl is just responding the way everyone is to some Gretorp's jokes: uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhnnnnnnnnn, WHAT? It's better to acknowledge a failed joke than pretend it didn't happen, I say. haha It's because some of the stuff that come out of Gretorps mouth is completely ridiculous / borderline complete troll.. although he seems sincere. Incontrol just has no response to something like that ... personally I think it's hilarious and a wonderful dynamic they have aquired from it. Keep going brothers, you are excellent casters and compliment each other beautifully.
