I must agree somehow, i'm really used to Tastosis and Day9 style thats listening to someone else its pretty incomparable, its the deep understanding of the game and of course ability to express it that make them so good. I really hope more commentators like them will emerge, but so far i haven't noticed any.

I have bought a ticket for the NASL now but i would really like more info on the league, an updated website with schedules and such things would be really appreciated. Im not intrested in searching through tens of pages on TL to find the info i want.

Pay them, then have no commercials except their own programming break obviously... KAPEESH?

I thought when they announced the league they had said the season pass was only going to cost $10 dollars.

NP the best way to put it is "which do you prefer, listening to your favorite song on the radio, or off your ipod"
idk but the fact that thousands of other people are hearing what im hearing at the same time is better than just listening to my itunes on my computer by myself.

The most expensive program I know for producing a stream is Wirecast and its like 300$ I think. Xsplit does close to the same thing as Wirecast and its free. (Wirecast makes it 100000x easier, but yea). They are using JTV, not their own stream so really the only thing they are spending on it is the internet connection, which you can easily make back by running ads on JTV (assuming they get the numbers TSL does) So you don't think people should be compensated for their work? Gom is a large company who isn't only invested in eSports. NASL does one thing and one thing only. They are asking for 8$ a month compared to the 10$ GomTV asks but they don't put in nearly as much money/effort as GomTV does. It is too expensive. I could run a 1080p stream with very good production for absolutely no cost to myself other than internet bill, like I said before. They would be better off doing it like TSL and giving it for free at first, and then maybe season 2 they add this or something. Asking people to pay 8$ right off the bit is friggan ridiculous (don't get me started on the whole "minimal commercial interruptions" thing. GomTV didn't charge for anything when they first started out (you can still watch GomTV SC:BW tournament VODs)
It costs you nothing so long as your time is worthless. Considering how much time you spend attacking Incontrol and everything he's involved in, I'm guessing that's true in your case.
I'm perfectly willing to pay for this stream. If it turns out that it sucks--something I highly doubt--I'll be out $25. If you can't afford to risk $25 for something you truly enjoy, you're time would probably be better off spent either getting a job, finding a better job or gaining the skills that would allow you to get a better job. If you don't truly enjoy watching professional Starcraft 2, you're not NASL's target audience to begin with. $25 over the course of three months is nothing.

To compare the GSL Passes and the NASL Pass
GSL $10 for 1 month of SC2 GSTL $5 for 1 week of SC2
NASL: $25 for 3 months of SC2 - Comes out to ~ $8
So, you're actually paying LESS for the NASL than the GSL per month, and for more content.
But, as I said, it's an unproven product. Once I see it, then I will put money towards it if I think it's worth it. You are forgetting the up and down matches. Shouldn't that account into your average also or did you already do that?
The Up and Downs AFAIK are part of the GSL season. So yes it's included.

I just purchased a ticket. I mean, I pay way more for sky television every month and i'm pretty sure I will watch more NASL then sky so i'm pretty sure I will get great value for 25 dollars.
I know there is a chance that they screw it up but I'm pretty sure they will put their heart into it so... it will be good

ok, have you guys seen the games of Korean players in TSL?
how IMMVP couldn't control reaper and gets it killed to probes? how Nestea just threw in 20+ roaches to tanks?
Korean players who adapted to high latency produced very boring game (watch boxer's games). There will be micro games but cannot expect to see high quality micro games; sad to say.
Thus, this being said, i am not sure how many top quality players will get into top 16 of NASL for off-lne tournament.
i believe cross-server games will be less entertaining compare to 'in-studio' games.
So, have to hear from users of NASL season 1 to see if this will be worth it.

There is just a huge lack of information and I am not happy with the invites so I will think about it. If all turns well I will pay because then 25$ isn't that much for a big league!
So I hope they will give us more informations soon and not only a short twitter message and some statements in SotG or unofficial threads.
Pretty much this. Haven't seen enough quality to warrant paying for the NASL. Everything so far has seemed like it is on par with a random amateur tournament.

I would paid if there was no commercial

Based on what they've shown to date, no way.
Even if the price was $2.50 I don't think I'd pay, just based on principle. It really bothers me how amateurish they've been in everything they've done so far.

I won't pay for season 1, I want to see how it turns out. Specially those 10 people/group, I fear we'll have to see a LOT (like more than 50%) of games without any stake. Yes, the amount of content will be great, but I fear the amount of actually interesting content will not be so great.

How can you say that they're not putting as much effort? NASL is a startup company with a small team, and GOM is large company with existing sources of income from different areas other than eSports. GOM can afford to put the money because the scene already existed from BW. NASL is brand new and is a small team. Your comparisons are atrocious, and you expect top notch quality from something which is new and risky in the western hemisphere.

I included Grubby cos he is a bit of a legend.
Yes it isn't complete, but that was the point to show all the high level players in the NASL.

After some consideration, I'd be willing to pay 25$ for the replays, but not for Gretorp and iNcontroL casting the games. I'm way too spoiled with Tastosis, nobody on earth can even come close to them. Not even DAy9. (Don't get me wrong I love DAy9, but even he doesn't come close to the hetero man-love that is Tastosis)

I want to buy a season pass, but I strongly prefer to use PayPal for online transactions. I'll wait for there to hopefully be the option.

I'm undecided, but I have no qualms with their asking price. And I'm one cheap dude.
