It's too early to say whether it'll be worth it, I mean half the appeal of the Gom pass is that I don't have to get up at 9am to watch it and with the much better streaming times i'll be less likely to care. I mean if it's something I want to support sure i'll buy a season ticket and it seems to work out cheaper than GOM but it all really depends on the quality of stuff involved.

25$ is definitely not alot of money but i doubt the majority will pay for the pass before they've seen some results.

There is a re-broadcast remember, I think at 5-6pm GMT IIRC.

I need to see what level of effort they put forth. Imagine buying it and then when the league starts its awful.

If they really will provide a 4mb stream I'd be willing to considier it. First gonna try the free streams to see the production quality.

1 NASL season (10+ weeks) is longer than 1 GSL season (~1 month)

Just bought my pass, $20 is nothing for this much content.

I'll wait and see what the first broadcast is like. If it's comparable to gom I don't mind the 25$. I don't have any cable so if it's only netflix, gomtv, and nasl, it's quite a good deal. As long as the production values are there.

As with everything I'll do the wait and see move. I have no idea how the production is going to be, I'm still not as excited about it as something like the GSL which is live on site where I get to see the players. If everything is of pretty good/standard quality I'll probably make a purchase. I already pay for GSL, and go in on an MLG ticket with a friend. Another one of these is going to have to be pretty damn good for me to drop money on.

I'll wait till some of the undeserved invitees dropped out due to the lack of skill. Gotta wait to see the production quality too which is questionable considering it is not even live.

Yes but if you added in the actual money spent producing the stream, it is far far far far less than GSL. The most expensive program I know for producing a stream is Wirecast and its like 300$ I think. Xsplit does close to the same thing as Wirecast and its free. (Wirecast makes it 100000x easier, but yea). They are using JTV, not their own stream so really the only thing they are spending on it is the internet connection, which you can easily make back by running ads on JTV (assuming they get the numbers TSL does)

I'm undecided as of right now. After the first broadcast I will decide whether to sign up for one.

To compare the GSL Passes and the NASL Pass

GSL $10 for 1 month of SC2
GSTL $5 for 1 week of SC2

NASL: $25 for 3 months of SC2 - Comes out to ~ $8

So, you're actually paying LESS for the NASL than the GSL per month, and for more content.

But, as I said, it's an unproven product. Once I see it, then I will put money towards it if I think it's worth it.

It's definitely worth it. The problem is with Starcraft 2's consumer demographic. The majority of people that will be watching NASL are young with not a lot of disposable income to spend, especially in this economy. A lot people are already spending money on GSL and MLG passes as well.
Lee Jae Dong proved that a focus on mechanics and execution could solve problems in the StarCraft game strategy.

Hmmm, well to me it sounds kinda expensive for a new league. I probably will pass this up and see if it has a good games/total games ratio.

Also I will also wait and see how the stream looks.

Edit: Does anyone know if this will be payable with credit card or do I have to remember my PayPal account?

With high production values, etc. Which apparently Incontrol values at less than $10 himself since he wouldn't pay for it.

When NASL is better than the random stuff over there -----> it might be worth money

Well its not that he doesn't value them as much as "i can never find the free stream from their site lol"

paying for them surely would be more difficult than watching the free one correct? i mean ofc progamers have difficult time navigating websites taylored for their game specifically

I'll be getting one for sure, such amazing value.

Anyone know the deal on replays though? Will they be released at all, and if they are, will you need to pay for them or will they be free?

You are forgetting the up and down matches. Shouldn't that account into your average also or did you already do that?

Wouldn't the production quality be more questionable if it were live, not if it wasn't live?

I probably won't get the 25$ pass, at least for the first season, unless it somehow proves itself to be super amazing. But the free stream is supposed to be good quality, so I really doubt that I will.

Seeing as it's 3 months of content, I can see myself paying the $25. Honestly though I feel like it should be cheaper, however I'm totally prepared to eat my words if the production and the content exceed my expectation.
