MPQ Editing is not endorsed by Teamliquid nor is it recommended as Blizzard actively takes steps to stop and prevent it. Be warned and do this at your own peril. -Nyovne

This will be just as detectable as mpqediting itself. If they want to ban you for it, they will. But I don't have any advatanges in multiplayer.

And I thought he was referring to Existor's posts about the license agreement, since I haven't mentioned it. On April 15 2011 20:05 Existor wrote: MPQ Editing is bannable, but adding files into folder, that has highter read priority is not described anywhere in the license agreement

Weather the files are directly or indirectly edited via the folder prioritising method you came up with, I think the chances of being banned for this are equally low. Also, whoever just voted that they got suspended, give proof.

When I extract the battle.net.mpq, a folder gets created (Battle.net), and this is where the "Shared" Folder is located. So far so good. I replace the dds file I want. Check. But then, how do I turn the folder that was created, back into the battle.net.mpq file?

Just open the mpq file and replace the target dds with your desired one. Don't extract anything. Or use Existors new method here http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=212923
