Can you modify sound files with a MPQ modifer?

I mixed the bnet login sound with the terran advisor robot woman thing. So i still hear the login noise, but i also get "System accessed, decrypting security overrides.......System control established!". Also mixed the sound of finding a match. So i get the original sound but I also get "Your forces are prepared and awaiting your orders commander!" lol
If you want to check the sounds out, just download them here and double click them(they're wav. ) http://www.mediafire.com/?bgaccfi8hwe60hu
if youd like to try them out, just drag them into:
Starcraft II/Mods/Liberty.SC2Mod/ With mpq editor open base.SC2Assets inside, go to Assets/Sounds/Uni/UI/BattleNet_UI
drag them in there

@Teliko Thx a lot! i don't know, how does it look ingame? i can find a better version with a higher resultion, would you do this maybe?

hey guys im trying to modify my 1v1 quick match backgrounds with 1500x808 picture, which is suppose to be full screen. but for Zerg and Terran background, if i change it with a 1500x808 picture, there's always a margin at the left side which is blank . any ideas how i can fit it if i want to use a full-screen like picture?
|
@Teliko, another thanks to you.
Need something a bit more inspiring to keep me on the path of zerg, and you've done the trick.
Damn just realized you only did the dds file. Still thanks, I guess I'll mess around and get it in the mpq myself, unless someone more knowledgeable wanted to do the work for that sweet kerrigan pic ;x

You only need one program, being MPQEditor to add the dds to your own mpq. I posted how to do it on page 14.

I looked back and sorted it all out with your help, thought it would be more of a hassle but it was easy peasy. Thanks for your help and inspiring me to do this. Got kerrigan as my home and the infestor at the quickmatch zerg screen.
Feel all inspired to play now...too bad its work time T.T

This is unavoidable. The coordinates for where the picture starts are slightly more to the right, because the default picture blends into the backround.
The only way around this is to add a blur to your picture so it fades out also. What I've done for most of my pictures is reveal layer mask selection and apply a gaussian blur.

@Teliko
I mean the resultion, not the design itself. Because i have a 2560x1440 monitor Not sure if this picture of Kerrigan was the best but thanks anyway!

Indeed, I really don't think you need to worry. At this stage god knows how many people are doing this and no one has mentioned having any hassle. The same goes for WoW model editting. I was doing it for years and never heard of anyone being caught, despite the fact blues promised banhammers all around. and model editing is much more significant than backround editing.
