In early September I decided that it was about time I get another tattoo (already having a full chest piece and collarbones done), but I wanted this one to be much larger and pack more of a punch sentimentally. So I decided on drawing up a full sleeve and the forearm I've decided I'd dedicate strictly to Starcraft because of the impact it's had in my childhood and teenage years and I'd like to share the almost finished product with the community.
![[image loading]](http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/ii392/JJJeeewww/IMG00310-20110119-1822-1-1.jpg) ![[image loading]](http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/ii392/JJJeeewww/IMG00318-20110119-1831-1.jpg) ![[image loading]](http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/ii392/JJJeeewww/IMG00314-20110119-1825-1.jpg) Obviously not colored yet but still something decent imo to share with the community! Hopefully everyone enjoys especially Toss and Zerg users =D.
Also getting my upperarm done next week and wrapping my favorite song which also happens to be my sc2 username around my elbow, but I decided on capitalizing it like my username WanDerLuSt =D

MOTHER OF GOD IT'S BRILLIANT!
a lot of people would call u stupid. But i too, love starcraft due to the immense affect it had on my childhood up until present. too bad there's no terran =[
Well from my perspective as someone who's always been into body mods in general someone's always gonna thing something you get done whether it's a tattoo or piercing ect is dumb. But Starcraft was an unbelievably huge part of my childhood so I'm content with it. =)

I'm going with the seige tank around my pelvic region minus the cannon of course.

rofl
Kind of hard to see whats going on there
Looks good but I'd never get a SC tattoo myself. When I'm 60, I don't want to be explaining to my grandchildren "well you see I used to play this video game a lot when I was your age".
It's a hydralisk wrapping around a zealot with the zealot about to kill it. I tried focusing in on the main points of action as without coloring you can get lost in it easily. Plus it's hard to get a dece picture of your forearm ha
Awesome, but yeah it's kinda hard to understand what's going on atm. Should be totally badass when you get it colored. =)
cooler than getting any of the typical tattoo themes by a wide margin !

Cool, i didn't notice the psy blades at first. thats goign to look pretty cool when u color it.
Yeah psy blades are done in grey because they're going to be bright bright blue so I didn't want deep black lines in them lol.

haha all jokes aside thats a pretty sweet tat man. Personally I wouldnt do it but it looks sick. grats
Its cool. But you are going to regret it in 10-15 years. (in a mom voice)
post the pics when it's colored.

That's amazing, nice job!
Its a cool image. You really picked some neat looking units. Just imagine a Sentry and a landed viking fighting an eternal battle on your arm
Starcraft has great colours. I hope the colours turn out how I'm imagining them! :3 Looks nice.
Yeah I'll update when it's colored, and when I get more done next Saturday. And I'd agree I'd probably regret it when I'm older but I'm either going into a career as an art teacher or apprenticing as a tattoo artist both art related fields and I already have alot of tattoos done. PLUS lets be realistic you can never grow out of Starcraft = P

Thanks I'll need it it's hard to get an apprenticeship in Edmonton haha
Its going to look awesome when you're 70 and have to stretch out your wrinkles so people can tell wtf it is.
All jokes aside, you're more man than I am to get something like that done to me.
its hard to get an apprenticeship anywhere really hahahaha either they like you....or not haha ....just make sure that even though its a tattoo shop...they still like to see ur art presented professionally....take a portfolio
Damn. Thats pretty sick. Nice job haha I'm kind of thinking about a tattoo but not at the same time haha if I do, it'll be a little on some where... Was thinking about the binary power symbol
Yeah I'm slowly building a sizeable portfolio. Yeah IMO it's a good idea to start small in case of ink allergies
Looks sweet man. And I don't think it's going to look stupid later. Just think of all the people who get pictures of dragons. When they're 70, they're going to be stretching out their wrinkly old skin and saying "well, when I was 20 I liked dragons". Or the people who get their sign and when they're 70 are like "actually I don't like fish, I just happened to be born in a certain month so I feel that they really represent who I am"
No, if you get a Starcraft tattoo, not only does it look sweet, when you're 70 and people comment on it, you can tell them about a little video game back in the day that caught the imagination of an entire nation, about the rise of esports and boxer and iloveoov and the other bonjwas and savior's eventual betrayal, about the foreigners who traveled all the way to Korea for a chance at glory and all the kids who risked their future and dropped out of school to become progamers. Way more interesting than "I like dragons".
Couldn't have put it better myself honestly ^^
That is super baller. Makes me think about a tattoo for myself.
That's a pretty nice tatoo, i bet it's gonna be badass when you color it. And for all of those saying he's gonna regret it later there's some medical procedure to remove it.
...Right?

This is an AMAZING tattoo, best of all, people won't assume it's a video game tattoo. Only SC players will know it's the Queen of Blades.
It's a little bit too big, smaller would be nice, still I love the idea.
I have an awesome tattoo of a dark templar fighting a ghost with a banshee overhead. + Show Spoiler +Too bad there's no detection. Seriously though, that is a badass tattoo man

Tattoos are gross and bare no cultural relevance in today's enlightened world. Now you will have to explain your tattoo for the rest of your life. You should probably quit having the tattoo worked on while you are behind.
that kerrigan tattoo looks so baller, and can't want to see op's pic once its colored in
They bare no relevance? Haha it's all about personal preference the idea of being covered in my own sketches is appealing to me while having them carry a sentimental note is even better. Not liking tattoos is one thing but saying they carry no relevance is a ridiculous statement.

I dont understand this at all. Were tatoos created in a uninlightened world? Infact what makes our world enlightened? And how does enlightenment of.... the world... change the meaning behind people and getting art on their body? Please.. enlighten me. I feel like you used that term to make yourself sound above anyone and everyone who gets/ can appreciate body art basically saying they are ignorant, the world isnt, and you think this because its ewwww gross.
Who cares if he has to explain your tattoo to everyone the rest of your life, i am sure he would love to tell people in 20 years how epic starcraft 1/2 was of a game, even if the graphics are shitty and its not in 3d or virtual reality. lol i know i wouldn't care if i got one, its one of those things where you dont get it unless your enjoy it. Just because you cant understand why anyone would do something you would not doesn't make them any less well... enlightened. No matter if you would do it or not you have to admit its an awesome tattoo, pumped to see how its colored.

not finished? seems that u need some color or some black color in it

My forearms.
I wanted it to look "gangster as possible" to accentuate the geek factor. Worked flawlessly.

Looks like a scene from Aliens vs Predator.
Kaileycost has achieved baller status and should be insta-placed in code S.
Nice tattoo OP! I'm thinking of getting a hydralisk tattoo as well. I believe the hydralisk and the marine can be both considered the 'icon' of StarCraft.
I'm a big fan of tattoos myself and I got my fair share of nerd tattoos and all other kind of stuff. Ill post my Fallout one here:

I am still working on putting the colors in and filling the background with some sort of shading. Its still a very early work in progress but i'm getting there.

This kind of reminds me of those people who have a tatoo of a band they never listen to anymore, of their ex from 20 years back...

That's what I thought too. Looks like a Predator holding up an Alien. Looks cool anyways.

Awesome awesome awesome! People will still think it's wicked even if they don't know what Starcraft is, it's all good. Fuck the conservative haters, tattoos are stupidly mainstream now, it doesn't matter.
I'm planning on getting a (small) Starcraft related tattoo when I finish my game design degree, as a little present to myself. Maybe the protoss symbol or a cute little prooooobe. Can't deny your roots!

May seem cool now but you'll regret it later on.

If I'm 60 and got a tatoo like this my children will be all proud of it and shit because Starcraft 5 is the biggest overall sport on earth by then ;p And I was brave enough to get it in this "early" stage etc. blabla.
Well if, I personally don't wanna have tatoos xP
