I want to introduce my new video, that I recorded & edited last week. It is a cient of micro video that also includes some nice strategies and situations.
I do not want to show any skill with this movie, it is for your entertainment only. Please bear in mind these clips were taken over a short period of time.
Maybe I will make some more movies like this in the future.

Decent video, i liked the pvz builds with 2 warp prisms. I really dont understand the 2nd and 3rd clips you used. 1 you killed a probe with you probes? and another it shows a half damaged zealot running past a full health zealot. What were he significance of those 2 events? They happen in just about every pvp that is played and shitty levels lol.
Agreed with NrG.NeverExpo. The warp-prism play on Scrap Station was awesome, apart from that there wasn't too much special going on. This is not to rag on the video tho, it's fun to watch and especially for lower players it should be good, it's just that (-the WP play) most of the stuff is pretty regular stuff for P so not overwhelming for mid-high P players i guess =)
2nd Clip I finished his Probe with my worker going back to harvesting from building smth. It was totaly random that both probes met at this time on the path when he only had a few HP left. Cant explain it that well sry
3rd Clip I blocked his Zealot to get 2-3 extra hits. It was my Zealot standing in front of his base.
edit:
I forgot that most of you are not from Germany :D In this country it is blocked, but nice to see that it works for other countrys.

I believe the points were that with the 2nd clip the probe would have escaped without the 3rd probe coming and attacking from building.
The 3rd clip was just his zealot running back micro so that he got 4 hits on it instead of 1 or 2 you would usually get without micro.
Not a bad video, although it's pretty clear you don't know how to do anything other than 1 base all in every game
Didn't like it at all, most of them show deciding moments of 7 min long game, where one player is simply bad and second is abusing that with probe, zealot, or stalker. In addition music is terrible and editing is quite poor. The only noticeable things were sentry drops, but honestly, zerg players were so bad... This video mostly show ugliness of starcraft not it's beauty.

What? How can you judge someone just from one video? He said at the start he wasnt showing off skill but knowledge of tactics that you can do...

Music is a mater of taste. Editing was very well done. Movie has a disclaimer telling you what it is.

Odd, isn't it, that with so many games shown not a single one displayed the toss at more than one base?
It's not like 1 base plays are the only plays with tactics (lol)
lol in one game you pylon block the terran like 4-5 times...then you proceed to attack a depot for 45 seconds not even realizing you could just walk through the wall...
yeah... also this n this:

1/10 skill level imo, but 9/10 production/music syncing n such., there's a positive !
Not too bad. Some things can improve such as showing healthbar in the micro fights (With the stalkers), covering up the replay bar and cutting down on the far too long clips. But nice moves, I especially liked the sentry drop, was very beautifully done + Show Spoiler +
Its too bad SC2 can create the same really WTF O_O moments like Wc3 could, since it is more macro-orientated but there is still potential for very cool videos
Really good job. All these guys flaming you because you're showing all ins, I would disregard what they have to say, small micro battles are the best type of gameplay you can show in a highlight reel format, as having it all on the line of a unit surviving is much more exciting to watch than a huge battle where the tension is lost.
This was loaded with artistic micro. I love it. How'd the bunker rush game pan out? The replay showed it going 14 min- I'm assuming he counter attacked.
I always enjoyed watching World of Warcraft pvp videos when I used to play it and I wondered if you could do the same thing in Starcraft. I think this is probably the best Starcraft montage video I've seen. Well done :D
Some cool forcefield and warp prism play, but this guy is all about one basing it seems. Not that I guess there's anything wrong with it, but means you're fairly one dimensional. Prob works great on ladder but once someone knows you can't play a macro game in a tourney they'll prob beef up on the defense and wait you out.
Oh and the blinking thing in the vid game me a seizure.
I liked the warpprism stuff on scrap station with the sentries, but other than that, nothing too amazing is showcased.
To all the haters saying all he can do is 1-base, these are the sorts of videos that capture the power of good micro. Big macro battles do not look amazing in these videos. What might look amazing is some 3+ base play where you do some cool templar drops or something else of that sort, but those are still only going to look impressive on a small-scale fight where the micro really shows through.
I liked it! A bit much of the fading effect though, became a bit irritating. And yeah, what do you guys want? A video of him showing his gosu probe-saturation?
I'm sorry but everything in this video was average. Try putting some big battles or some other fancy micro, not just random stuff anyone in diamond can do(-WP)
quite a nice video, although i could only watch the first part. think the music choice fits quite well. what's the name of the song in the first part from 4:45-8:14?
I don't know what people are on about, I loved the videos. Showed some really interesting micro, particularly the sentry drops and the pylons blocking the factory (made me laugh). Proper well edited as well.
As many people already said, the Warp Prism drops on Scrap Station, was just so amazing.... I felt Zerg's pain though.... so annoying and frustrating hahahaha

Man avilo why do you have do be such a douche sometimes lol the guy put up a video of some cool tricks/tactics for the purpose of entertainment.
He's not asking you to evaluate his skill level. Even if he did ask for that, you're better off saying that you can't evaluate skill based off of 1-base all-ins instead of giving him a 1/10. Theres just nothing in the video that warrants effectively calling him a terrible player.

Manner up son.
Seriously, you are a bit obsessed with manner. Im not defending avilo here since he is obviously way off, as usual. But the guy posted a vid of some cool tricks, avilo dosent like it and that makes him BM? Wth, if this guys posts it on a forum he is bound to get feedback, may it be positive or negative. No reason to bring manner into the discussion.
On topic, there were some cool tricks but if your next vid could provide some later-game tactics and tricks i think it would generally be of more entertainment value for most people since it is usually harder to pull off hence more impressive. Keep up the work!
I laughed soo hard at the pylon blocking the rax, and then was completly amazed by how you took the advantage of your enemy having no combat units or whatsoever.
Also, sick prism-sentry play. sick sick sick.
And I have to say, killing that zerg all-in needed some shit-load of micro, well done.
I liked it. I feel like some people negatively criticize just to make people who do this work feel like shit.. Micro was pretty good too and no one ever seems to criticize long macro games but 1 base play, /shrug.

The game on scrap station was baller and Boxer-esque. Other than that I was just irritated at the fail of his opponents, like not blocking the ramp with the sentry then dying to stalkers. Heh.
The movie was very entartaining, except for the flashing scenes.I know they are put into the movie for effects but they either give u a seizure or makes u think u monitor is broken .
Some good warp prism play.Too bad most non-mid/late game warp prism play (off 1 base) is a little all-inish (see kiwikaki vs idra game, were he chronoed 2 immortals and 1 prism and procedeed to warp in a lot of zeals into Idra's base) and pretty high risk-high reward play.
Overall very nice movie.
And remember Kharan,on the internet,if u can do something, theyr 10 other ppl who can do it better or faster.U should continue making them (the movies i mean).

You are right but I think this one Forcefield would just delay a Stalker a little bit and he would lost anyway.
I'm not sure what I just watched. Put this kind of effort into a video using clips of idrA and Fruitdealer. That would be badass. Like stated before, great production, low skill level.
True, half of the clips are really nothing special, but the other half show some impressive tactics and micro. Nicely done, i would like to see more without too many special effects/be more selective of the moves you put in.
Even at the start of the video he says this isn't to show off skill, just to make an entertaining video but the whole first page basically is commentating on his skill.
Title is sort of misleading, could have named it Highlights volume 1. The warp prism was nice, the replay after that and the whole blacking out and blinking gave me a headache.
Or maybe the generic techno/dnb gave me a headache. GSL has a nice selection, actually most of the korean scene has a nice selection of music.
Lots of ppl don't get the point is he's showing off his good micro. Nothing fancy, short clip for fun. If you want to see more then 1 base, go watch Day9 then.
Very nice video, I really like your micro and playstyle. It's some of the strongest 1-base protoss play I've seen. It's rather reminiscent of http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=58495 though. Are you the same guy or a fan with a very good taste?
On December 14 2010 07:30 Kharan wrote: Im not the same guy, but I really liked the introduction style of this video. Found it on my hard drive when I was searching for some songs
Good choice, good choice, it really fits well with the agressive style you've diplayed. Now that I think of it, this is probably the fist video I've seen of Starcraft II gameplay with fitting montage.
EDIT: I forgot the Fruitdealer GSL montage... how silly of me.
I really like how you repeatedly screw up your opponent's game plan by harassment and getting in his face before he's managed to stabilize. People (including me) should be using Probes and Warp Prisms a lot more for harassment. When I get a bit better I'd love to nick a bit of your style and/or play a game against you.
Aw, i was almost hoping one of those players switched to sc2 but yeah its a good movie for instruction and fits yours very well! Great to suddenly come across someone who has seen that movie too

Yea all footage was taken over a short period of time, I will take my time for Vol 2.
I watched both videos, while being very entertaining, the black flashing was EXTREMELY annoying. The plays you made and highlighted were awesome, and I understand the build up, however I believe that zooming and slowing down are enough visual enhancements to build tension or whatever your motive was.
In future videos, I would suggest less fading out and black screens.
Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you that I've quit Sc2 two month ago due to some real life issues, so for everyone who is waiting for a volume 2: It will be definitely delayed for an unknown time. I don't know when I will come back to sc2, but I still would play it if I could
So I'm sorry but I hope you will hear from me again in a few month :-)
