Not awesome or confusing and you did an incredibly annoying strategy. I understand his frustration, he was probably just trying to practice and you then you do that.
Canon rushers should have their own ladder to themselves where they can be as useless and annoying to each as they are to everyone else.
This is indeed not awesome or confusing. But come on, don't say anything about practice of whatever. Cheese is part of the game, if you don't like it, blame yourself, not the guy actually using the game.
It is part of the game but I would like to think there is a special place in hell reserved for people that canon rush every game.
I honestly hope you do not mean those words. But some people really get pissed off when cannon rushed. It is very understandable. I also hope you realize that there will always be people cheesing. Even if you are at a professional level.
I don't mind cheesing too much. It is good to practice a few good cheeses so you can mix them into a series that you are playing. If you just cheese every game on ladder then you are a loser, especially if you are gold like that guy. Seriously what is the point of cannon rushing every single game in gold league.
If a pro can win with cheese then all the power to them. There is money and glory on the line and they should do what they think will give them the best chance to win. If you are in a low league and you just cheese every game because you suck and it is the only way to make yourself feel good then ...
I don't mind SC2 too much. It's good to play a few good cheesy games so you can mix up your casual gaming experience. If you just play the ladder regularly then you are a loser, especially if you're somewhere between bronze and grandmaster like most people. Seriously what is the point of playing when there are better RTS.

Best way to answer someone who doesn't understand the game. If you think you're good enough to be entitled to open macro all the time, than go back to SC2 101, even pros aren't entitled to macro openings. People should accept the game as it is instead of raging like spoiled brats when they can't go for the 15 CC or Nexus first build.
TvP, me T Guy (Diamond) keeps on saying how I will die in platinum after 1000 games while he is master anyways... (he never was acording to his stats) I was masters from when I started playing and am now Diamond because I switched from P to T one week ago and started playing again after a half year break from SC2.
The confusing part is, that he wrote all of this in a friendly way, but at the same time kept on telling me how bad I am in some way... Also, he sees my macro is platinum (?) and so he plays afk (?) and then he loses the game? Makes perfect sense to me
Ofc., he never said gl hf, gg or anything... Anyways, here's the chatlog:

So, not only did this opponent give me some very confusing rage at the end of the game... but the whole game was confusing! This was a gold level, WoL game. Please allow me to summarize his build order:
He opened up with a confident supply block at 10/10, straight into a gateway, then a forge and cannon. This was followed by his first gas, and a hidden expansion. Finally he got his core up, and added on a robo. Now he expands to his third, and masses up some stargates. Once they're up he adds on another core and a fleet beacon, as well as a twilight council. Finally, he takes his natural expansion. Hoping to win with mass void rays, he's upset when I steam roll him. (To be fair, I didn't realize I was as far ahead as I was, and danced around changing my composition to stalkers and phoenix before moving in for the kill at a nice 3x his supply.)
(Remember to read from the bottom up)
Am I a homosexual hacker, that is supposed to go have sex with my mother? Or does he mean something else? I can't tell... the best part is that he resent it to fix his spelling of gay and hacker, but left "morter." Fick I understand... it could either be "frick," or an honest typo because of how close the i and u are, or a way around the mature language filter. But morter?

"fick" is "f*ck" in German, so maybe he had some language skillz
Calling someone a "psychopathic cunt" for playing random is pretty hilarious. Did he try, you know, asking you your race?
Vs random I just ask "race?" after my standard opening "have fun! :D ♥". Most of the time random players just tell me (and are honest), though sometimes I get a funny look and asked me why on earth they should tell me that. Most players are happy to offer their race so that the match is properly representative of how the matchup should go.

I tell my race to anyone who 'gl hf's me (or anything similar). Although, I'd say about a quarter of the time I just offer up my race I get some sort of hostile response, most recently a 'F**K off dick' which made me laugh pretty good. I get a pretty good kick out of people who want to BM me for being polite.

Its not really being polite because they have absolutely no reason to believe a thing you say.
Maybe a third of the random players I've played against said a race. And of them around 75% were lying. Best time was when I had one guy ranting about "zerg again" and how he "keeps rolling zerg today" for the first minute of the match solid. I didn't manage to scout until last position on a large map. He was Terran. And went for an SCV/Marine all-in.
Point is although you may think you're being polite they're probably just assuming you're trying to deceive them and put them off their game. Which makes people irritated.
