Anyone had it where you can't download the patch? It says connecting to patch server but never connects and just launches right into SCII. If so how did you fix it?

It means excatly what you think it means. SZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ will be in your future soon.

That's exactly what it means unfortunately

Fungal growth was the only reasonable way to deal with mass air without yourself massing air. Am I missing something or isn't hydras/queen good ways to deal with air? Not playing zerg but I don't see the problem. Tosses don't rush for phoenixes when we see someone build mutas,.

Oh this patch looks sweet! Hahaha chat, yes!!!!
Not sure how I feel about the balance issues, void ray change is certainly interesting. I think the most I am liking the hallucinate change, may actually be useful for early game scouting now...
Also don't know that I agree the fungal growth change is going to "break zerg". It's one change after all, I think we are going to have to see it play out to really understand how it is going to affect gameplay.

If the toss or terran goes air, then you just cant have your overlords spread out all over the damn map. its a bonus of going air, and the fact is you have to protect yourself against it just like toss and terran have to protect against mutas.
Great patch. I hope it all gets through.
so now fungal a) doesnt work vs drops and b) you cant have overlords around to see them coming.
makes perfect sense.

Hmm, it looks like a Protoss will finally win GSL.

Can we please forget the myth that phoenixes can kite mutas forever without losing any? Some guy made a vid on YT against the AI and now every believes it's possible against a human.
If mutas retreat and then attack again, they can land shots on phoenixes because there's no immediate acceleration, and they can't change direction instantly.

Any screenshots with the Chat Channels?

U forgot that hydras are so friggin slow ofcreep wich means u cannot attack/defend anyway if the enemy kills the creepspread properly

I'd be fine with the infestor nerf if they took away the Thor's air attack, that seems fair.

Phoenixes still win in a straight up fight.

This. So incredibly stupid. That combined with the larva repeat thing is just insane. I hope community testing just ends up proving this to be broken and they don't end up going through with it for good.

are there public chat channels? my list is empty

I think that the game will be really close to balanced right now. Maybe a little psi storm nerf (not much, like 10-20 dmg) and it should be really fine.
|
Some notes:
- max of 50 people per PUBLIC channel, upon which you spillover to a new channel - max of 100 people per private channel, upon which you just get an error - you are limited to one public channel at a time - hotkey editing interface is pretty nice - maximum sizes of a chat box are kinda wonky, see screenshots - you can't join a channel in a game, but you certainly can leave one - no password, moderation or any similar features for private channels - you can also now do small private group chats between friends
Chat channels + Show Spoiler + Chat channels - ingame, note that the two windows are as big as they would go + Show Spoiler + Hotkey interface + Show Spoiler + Private group chats + Show Spoiler + edit: correction to channel limit edit2: update to private channel limit (100 ) edit3: private group chats

Yeah its along the same logical processes as removing hydralisks from the game would be.
I'm going back to toss unless something gives.
